Tipping at Chef Mickey etc

Emily Post is a great resource. Whatever your “belief” is - PLEASE know that Waiters LIVE and DIE on tips. So if the service was bad - the tip should reflect that. If the service was good - please tip AT LEAST at the social norm. The people bust their buns. Although WDW food is VERY EXPENSIVE the wait staff sill lives on tips.

Yes, and I wish people realized that sometimes the servic is bad regardless of how awesome your waiter is. I can’t tell you how many times I got stiffed bc the kitchen was backed up, or meal was not good. Or gotten yelled at bc their food was under/over cooked. So frustrating. Being a waiter is hard work.

^ Agree. If the waiter is attentive and apologies for the delay in the kitchen - they are still doing a good job and need to be compensated properly. If they are not attentive etc - then tip is updated accordingly.

When I need to know about wdw I rely on Touring Plans, not Emily Post.

I have to say that the laws of proper tipping should follow the rules of normal society.

Lol- I am 56 years old and Emily Post died before I was born :grinning:
