Timing of Ticket Purchase

Do we have a sense of how far in advance one should buy their tickets?

My family of four is visiting at end of June into first days of July. We will leave on 7/3 so while I expect we may see some building crowds, I don’t anticipate - and TP doesn’t anticipate - high crowds during the time of our stay.

I know I don’t want to wait until super close to the trip to get tickets. But I’m not sure what my deadline should be, to ensure we can book our park ressies where we want to be. We’ll have hoppers, but we know how important it can be to start off in the right location

Thanks!

Oooh, a birthday bash for you! Cool!

However, I have no clue about the answer to your question. Sorry.

I’d say as soon as you know your dates get ‘em. And don’t forget to ask for this discount!

This kind of discount is often such a PITA to validate for that it isn’t worth the trouble. I see they use ID Me too which is the PITA.

I appreciate you mentioning it though!

When we went Feb 13-16 I bought our PH tickets Feb 11 and had my pick of days for which park to start in. Ideally though, I would have locked that in 1-2 weeks in advance (we were just busy and I kept putting a card together and then squirelling away from it - but I had been watching reservations since December to get a sense of what sold out, and nothing ever sold out for park hoppers, not even Christmas week).

I know it’s a slower time of year, but on 12/23/25 I bought our four day hoppers from UCT to start on 1/9/26 & had no problems with reservations.

I have never had trouble with reservations at least a month in advance. If you’re staying on site, you could cut it even closer. But I wouldn’t buy closer than 2 weeks personally just to be safe.

Why is this?

We are at GCV

I believe it’s because there are different buckets of reservations for those staying onsite versus those not. But will definitely let others confirm!

Also we’re staying at GC for our Spring Break trip and I’m so excited! (likely not the villas since I don’t think there’s a chance a waitlist comes through, but very excited for our first stay ever at that hotel!).

Correct. It’s easier to get a reservation if you are eligible for the onsite bucket.

Jealous! I was too late to book using points so I would have had to pay cash and it was over $1k with tax per night. :grimacing: No discount available since we’re staying only one night. So we’re staying in a duo at DLH which is still expensive but much more reasonable!

You will love it! I made the mistake of staying there for my first DLR trip since I was 8 years old.

I don’t know if I can stay anywhere else!

Would love to stay there. But that transient tax

I can’t stay on points at DLH anyway since I’m resale so it’s cash for me. (Regular tax is also steep! :grimacing:)

Half of my points are grandfathered for use at any and all curren or future resorts

The other half are direct #bougie
