Throwaway Night at All Stars - for park benefits

Have an upcoming trip to Orlando and staying off site for a week.

Was thinking of booking 1 night at an all star hotel for my family, in order to get 2 days of:

- Early entry

- 7 day LL booking window

- Free parking at parks

Anything else I’m missing? Or benefits of being onsite?

For $200 seems like decent value.

Not sure we’d actually stay at All Stars as we have accommodation already

I posted this question on Reddit (WaltDisneyworld) and it got deleted by the no-fun mods…

Agreed this seems like it could work for you. Since you’re actually paying for the room (and not cancelling it last minute) I see no ethical issue with this. What you do with what you paid for is up to you. Even if you just stash bags there during the day or don’t even go there at all.

I agree. You are paying for it and not even making it dirty. Go for it!

Thanks. We may even go take a nap there between park hops, or a swim.

Not that I’d do this…but if one books LLML at 7 days and then cancels the reservation, do the LLMP stick? More just curious.

They do but only if you cancel within 3 days that you would be eligible for without the reservation, and by then it is too late to cancel without penalty. (Even if a loophole is used to get out of the penalty, I don’t recommend doing this due to ethical concerns and also impact on inventory.)

free waterparks on arrival day - could be huge - but i guess not if that’s a park day for you

That approach can work, since onsite guests get early entry and extended Lightning Lane booking privileges tied to their reservation dates. You may also receive access to Disney transportation and package delivery to the resort if staying on-site. Just confirm your park reservations and linked tickets align properly so you can fully use those benefits.

Package delivery from park stores to the resort is no longer a thing. That didn’t come back after reopening from the Covid closure.

Likewise, everyone has access to DIsney transportation no matter where you are staying.
