This is my third time using Touring Plans to plan my day with my family at Disneyland and I feel like it is worth every penny. In the past I have used the Optimize function but this is the first time that it hasn’t given me a plan that made sense. I was able to create a custom plan that cut down on the wait times significantly than the optimize plan. This is hitting all the rides that we want to hit but I have had to put in the dinner plan as a Rest as it was giving me a 60 minute wait time at Alien Pizza Planet and I will be ordering ahead using mobile order. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This is a great plan! I may use it for my trip this weekend. LOL
The only tip I have is to mobile order Mint Julep beignets in advance so you don’t have to wait until later in case mobile orders are backed up.
Love how your plan is a mix of headliners with lots of the charming originals that are more usually filler (like Mark Twain, Tiki Room, etc.) I think you’ve got a great line-up. I do question some of the LL times BUT it’s been at least 8 months since I last checked so I’m not up on the trends.
The most suspicious one to me is that an Indy LL for 9:45am is available at 9:30. But if it’s out more than that you could use that time to do some of the other smaller Fantasyland rides (carousel, maybe Casey Jr or if the line isn’t backed up, Canal boats) near the teacups if your Indy window is a little bumped out. Oh, and the only ride I see missing from this fantastic list that is a must-do for me is Alice in Wonderland! (you’re ending with Peter Pan and it’s right next to it…)
But great plan! I hope your day tomorrow is fantastic!
If you are there at or shortly after park opening and Indy is not down, it is possible the return time could be relatively soon. If Indy is down at park open, they usually don’t start distributing Indy LLs until it is determined to be operating reliably.
I think tho, my issue may be that in my head opening is set at a default of 8am (which is what they usually are when I tend to go). Considering now though, it may be 9am, which a 9:30 arrival is much closer to that opening time and definitely more than doable to get a soon return time like that…
Also, it’s totally possible that even if 9:30 is 90 min in, it may still be early enough, for such a close return time, bc truly I haven’t watched LL times for DLR in a very hot minute.
Now I’m hoping I remember tomorrow to track it l just to see!!
Also, as I’m looking over your dining plans again now too, I’m jealous that your touring group can eat a meal in under 45 minutes. I have learned my family needs at least 50 minutes from the time the food arrives until they are ready to get back up & go. But also, we tend to get in a potty break (or 2 or 3) in every meal and also may take time at the end to do a sunscreen re-application if needed.
The way I interpreted it was “9:30am” = first thing when they get to the park, which is hopefully earlier than 9:30am! But if it is 9:30am, you are right they will likely not get an early LL.
Thanks for all the input and a good idea to pre-order the binets to avoid the long line that I encountered last year. I was also skeptical about the lightning lane times so I guess we will see what happens, fingers crossed that Indy is operational in the morning. Trying to get into the park sooner than 9:30 but wanted to leave some time for the distractions along main street that usually occur when we enter the park haha.
I get it, Main St is glorious! If you can at all remember the very second you are scanned in and step to the side before you go through the tunnels to enter Town Square, that will be the earliest point you’ll be able to book LL times.
You’ll also be able to see what time they are out to on your tip board as you approach, so if you check it really quick in any of the security or entry lines you’ll have an idea of the pace it’s moving to help decide if you need to hurry and get that taken care of (and then bonus, if there is any wait you can fill it all with enjoying Main St!) or if you can more leisurely stroll in and at some point between entry and the hub secure that first LL.
I did remember! It’s 9:16am in (maybe) sunny DLR and Indy is at 12:05pm for the LL, so hoping that OP’s plan is able to work that in still!
