The Lightning Lane Thread! All WDW Info Here

If coming from main entrance, you could rope drop FEA, then hit Soarin. Do Remy as single rider. You could buy the ILL for Guardians and just wait in line for a second ride.

I don’t know how the CM at the tap would react to this. Maybe another Liner has tried?

Are you considering this to open up tiers? It’s CM dependent. It’s been done at FSA in HS I’ve read. But a CM could very well turn someone away with 3 bands.

I haven’t read about this being done, but would agree this is really going to depend on the CM standing at the tap.

I’ve only done tap-and-run once myself on a solo trip (I usually try to book something I actually want to ride to unblock tiers) - this was at Epcot’s Pixar Short Films shortly after park open, when I wanted to unblock tiers to grab FEA, which sells out early most days. The CM at the entrance was just taking the cover off the tap as I approached, and there was no one else near the attraction yet at this time so I was a little apprehensive about what I was about to do. I greeted him and explained that I was actually just scanning in to book another ride, to which he smiled and responded “do what you’ve got to do”, apparently familiar with the modus operandi.

So it may be easy to do/totally fine with some CMs, but I wouldn’t exclude that you could get a CM who objects to this tactic/prevents you from scanning another guest’s card? Personally I don’t think I would take the risk, and just go with all three people instead.

Looking for a screenshot of what a MEP looks like. I haven’t seen it yet, and friend who is there now didn’t see it yesterday when they should have gotten one (after being evacuated of Tiana). Didn’t know what to tell them to look for.

See below. They may not have gotten one automatically unless the CM scanned their bands as they exited. They should go to GS if they feel they were entitled to one and didn’t get one.

I copied the one-day adult Hollywood Studios touring plan and modified it heavily. I set up the whole plan to not use Lightning Lane and made sure that all the toggle switches were turned off because I am not buying any form of Lightning Lane but after I click “Evaluate My Plan” the plan keeps changing my Tower of Terror selections to say “Use LL” and re-toggling the “Use Lightning Lane Multi-Pass”. I have deleted the TOT selection and re-added it several times but haven’t been able to fix this “glitch”. Even if a LL is recommended, I want the plan to show me how long it would take without LL, not re-add it. Can anyone help me fix this?

Use the site below to fill out the IT support request. There is a place to link your touring plan so they can resolve the issue directly, hopefully. Good luck!

Thanks for the help. I actually figured out that it was my error. I had selected on an early screen that I WOULD use LL. So I just recreated it because I couldn’t figure out how to change that early selection.

I’ve been slacking a bit on this information and all of a sudden my booking day is tomorrow :joy:
Does it make any sense to buy LLMP for Epcot with the earliest return time possible and then start booking for MK after tapping in? I figured that might work and save a little $ but maybe I’m missing something. We have 4 people in our group and MK rides will be the least important for my adult age kids.

Yes, that’s a perfectly acceptable strategy. I assume you were already planning to go to Epcot? It’s probably not worth the savings to start at a different park just to save a few bucks on LLMP. But I suppose maybe it is worth it for you.

Yes, starting at Epcot multiple days to rope drop Guardians.

Ok yeah, then it’s a great idea. :+1: You won’t have as good a selection, but there should still be plenty to choose from.

This gives you an idea of same-day availability:

Thanks! That looks good! So that will allow me to put the money I save into single passes. Every little bit helps :joy:

Does it ever make sense to purchase LLMP if you know you’re going back to the pool in the afternoon?

Are you going back to the parks after the pool?

If you plan to return, yes, that’s a great time to get LLMP! You can schedule / rearrange LLs and pick up lucrative ones at drop times. Also you can try advanced strategies like “zombie stacking.”

Yes, the plan would be park AM, pool, park PM

So I’m guessing the strategy is to leave the park with 3 more stacked for when you get back?

Or stack while lounging at the pool.
