Yes I just meant by “terminal” in the sense of “end” — one end is HS the other is EP. Since you asked if Epcot was the last stop.
Sorry for the delayed reply. Just logged in again. I hope this gets to you in time.
Given your desired attractions and it being Day 0, I don’t have any fool proof suggestions, but I think this is what I would do:
EP at 11:00 am (LLSP prebooked for GotG)
HS after EP (hopefully you can prebook LLMPs for RnR and ToT for around Noon-3:00 pm with at least one of them before the first SDD drop). Try to grab SDD at a drop. Also, while you are in HS, keep monitoring MK for an evening TBA LL.
MK after HS (evening LLSP prebooked for Tron). Keep trying to get LL for TBA, especially at the drops.
There is risk that you will miss out on SDD and/or TBA , but I think the above is the best strategy to try to get all of them. Let us know how your prebooking goes!
Yeah I agree this is your best option unless something happens to be available either when you book or in the days before your trip.
Just saw this. I booked Slinky first, then the LLSPs, then the tier 2s.
This might work well without the need to modify for earlier return times, but I’ll try anyway.
Are there additional drops 3 days prior?
I may be late to the party, but if you can get an earlier time for RNRC, you may want to at least consider booking it and getting SDD on a drop. It’s def risky, but there is a 1:17 and 3:47 drop.
As soon as you use your first LLMP in HS, you can book something else and just keep on watch for a TBA drop. Often times, if you get a TBA drop, you’ll see RT’s for the next 60ish minutes which may not be ideal; however, shortly after, you’ll see later RT’s pop up bc people are switching their later RT’s for the new drop times.
Good luck!
I don’t believe there are any established drop times in the week before arrival, but earlier times definitely pop up for almost all rides. I did pretty well with the Thrill Data alerts starting from 4 days before our arrival day - just make sure that once you get an alert, you modify in BG1 as otherwise you can’t fully overlap and lose some time that way.
Also, remember, TSM is on the 1:17 and 3:47 drops too. So, you could likely push that time up. I’d check before drops as people do change plans. I would prioritize booking SDD on the drops before messing with TSM.
Honestly, I like to check periodically from booking day to day of and quite obsessively day of.
I’ll do that! Thank you.
I think this is a pretty good plan!
What are lines like for TBA at night these days? I would expect that would be the first sign of its initial debut popularity waning. When it was cold in December the line was usually short at night. Summer would be a different story though.
I’m hoping to snag Remy and Soarin, before I get Tiana! Haha.
In the old days, Splash and BTMR had hardly any wait at night, even in the summer.
The issue that my wife has seen is that sometimes the boat captains wait around DHS for a while during midday to wait for passengers to fill the boat. So that’s where the variable time comes in.
It’s DHS, Swolphin, YC/BC, Boardwalk, Epcot.
I’ve only done the reverse order- Epcot to HS to hop mid day. They haven’t waited at Epcot.
But that could make a difference though.
If you have an expired pass (within the grace period) and an MEP, which pass gets used if you tap in?
If you’re within the regular 15-min grace period, it should use the LL. After that I’m not sure. @nitsaki tested a bunch of scenarios with LLs. Was this one of them?
I have definitely tested having a MEP and a LL for a ride we tapped into after it had expired BUT within the official grace period of 15 minutes. We did this multiple times. The LL was consumed each time.
We once tapped in at 20 minutes after expiring, again it consumed the LL. This was Aliens Saucers in the late afternoon on a low crowd day. I didn’t have the guts / need to try it again.
Full disclosure–I’ve been out of the parks for 2.5 years so I’m catching back up and learning. My question: How do you “watch the trends” leading up to your visit? In my mind, you can’t book anything until 7 days out (if staying onsite) so I know I’m missing something:) Thanks!
So - for science, I just tried using an expired LL at 35 minutes with an MEP in hand. And it took the expired pass and left the MEP.
You can either watch MDE and see what times are being dispensed for various attractions at different times of day to get a feel for what things will be like, or you can visit a data aggregator website like Thrill Data and comb through the data.
