No, just trying to keep things simple. We currently have everything for my family in one MDE account. I fear what might happen if I let others start messing around with things
.
Thatās what I was planning on trying. I was going to split up our 6 days between my son and myself. He is the only other one I trust to get it right.
Is it still necessary/advisable to set up your days ahead of time in MDE? (It seems like we used to have to do this to get the whole Genie+ thing to work correctly.)
I never did it- even during Genie+ time. ![]()
No, there does not seem to have any merit at all. It used to be helpful as it would have your party preselected and your favorite rides would appear top of the tip board. Both of these features are gone.
From my knowledge that Iāve picked up about LLMP bookings and MDE accounts, Disney doesnāt support well the case of the same user is trying to do multiple things. I would highly recommend using separate accounts.
Seconded.
Iāll add that getting things done at 7:00:00AM isnāt as important as it used to be, bc prebooking is spread over multiple days. You donāt have everybody hammering the system at once at 7:00:00 like under G+. Seconds donāt matter now, though hours still do.
Checking that I havenāt missed a tip/trick - my husband and are local and friends are coming down and staying on property. Thereās no way for us to book with them at their 7 day mark unless we are added to their hotel res or book our own room, right? Just because we are linked on MDE doesnāt mean weāll get the 7 day option.
Correct
So, I have a trip in a little over three weeks. Has anything changed since my trip last April?
In all seriousness, I have some studying up to doā¦
Dude. Youāre one of the threadās threadmasters
Honestly if you ever used FastPass Plus itās quite reminiscent of that. I think most knowing priorities and drop times is the main thing now
Like @OBNurseNH very Fast pass+ esque. The lead thread has a great updated summary. There isnāt a ton of tips and tricks on the advanced thread like before. Just knowing the drops and what rides to prioritize in pre booking makes for successful usage of LLMP and LLSP.
Haha! Thank you. Youāre funny, @drvillarejos
Yeah, Iām sure itāll be fine. It seems like FP+ but with slightly less restrictive tiering, and a rolling 3 instead of having to use all of your prebooked FPs before selecting a fourth.
Iām sure Iāll be fine. Iām sort of laughing at myself because in 2022 I spent months trying to figure out Genie+, and now itās 3 weeks before my trip and Iām just starting to look at it and plan (other than first looking at it when it launched).
Thank you - Iām sure Iāll be fine. @Jeff_AZās lead post is an awesome resource, BG1 still exists, (thank you @joelbruick), thereās a drop-time thread somewhere that someone put together
, and I do consider myself above average in knowledge of the parks and what works thanks to @len, TP and all of you here.
Perfect summary. āThat may be all you need to know.ā
Haha, same here. Less than 4 weeks until our trip. I havenāt been able to convince myself to pull out all of the thrill data charts yet to complete my TPās. Had the Genie+ thing down to a science. Not sure I have it in me this time. I am a bit concerned about LL availability on day-of after the first tap-in. Hopefully, the drops will remain.
I noticed the Advanced Strategies thread has not been updated since August 2024. I am guessing that is because there are very few strategies left to use now?
Iāve heard that thereās a decent amount of random day-of availability (probably because of people modifying?) so hopefully that will be the case. Drops are still very much in place as far as I can tell.
Lots of day of availability, specially in the early morning till early afternoon (I do not believe it is only from people changing plans but intended Disney refilling).
And probably some inventory that they hold back in case of poor ride performance
