The rides that run out the fastest are TBA, SDD, and Remy.
But that said, there are same-day drops of each of these.
HM and FEA also run out quickly and don’t have (consistent or any) same-day drops.
So I don’t know that it really matters which park you start with if you are going to play the same-day slots. You’ll get what you want if you are diligent. Instead, focus on filling your 9am slot with the best ride available for each day. Try to get a 10am and 11am LL as well. The goal is to start churning as soon as possible.
But if you’d rather lock the highest priority rides in as your prebooks, I would start with as late a day as possible to secure TBA, then SDD, then Remy.
All that said, strategies are still forming as people get more experience. Keep an eye on the Advanced Strategy thread in La Cava if that interests you.
FWIW, I was booking MK for this same day. Tiana was available at 7+2, but it was gone at 7+1. I was waiting till 7+1 to book with other party members, so it was gone. I didn’t sweat it because I will just plan to VQ and hope for a drop.
As a general proposition, I don’t like the advanced selections. I didn’t like them under the old version either FP+. But I am intent on just adjusting to whatever system is presented.
Has anyone else received confirmation emails that include what look like a charge receipt after every single modification? I keep getting these emails each and every time i change anything with the ride times and they all include my cc info/price I paid for the LLMP. I’m going to check now to make sure im not getting charged $95 each change LOL but was curious if others have had this happen?
I spoke with a nearby district last year. Their band is usually over 100 traveling students and never had a problem performing at WDW. After covid, they got strict with their minimums. Since the school didn’t have a certain amount of students over 100, they had to settle for a date and time they didn’t really want and weren’t allowed to perform on a weekend.
Universal is so accommodating and don’t discriminate with school band size. We had only 30 students that traveled last year and it was no problem, even performing on a Saturday holiday weekend.
I just finished my first major refresh of the lead post since about a week ago. Things are starting to stabilize. In particular, I updated the Order of Priority:
I linked to the Thrill Data availability charts. A couple of interesting things:
At AK, KRR has moved up in priority to the #2 spot. Not sure if this will hold when summer ends, but as of now it is pretty popular. NRJ is clearly #1.
At HS, MMRR runs out more quickly the MFSR, and TSM runs out quicker than ToT.
At MK, WtP is the most popular Group 2 attraction for some reason. I’ll keep an eye on this. Tomorrowland Speedway has moved up slightly in priority, passing Under the Sea. Other than WtP, HM, and Buzz, pretty much everything has immediate availability all day, but TS has run out in the evening the past week.
Also, for those who haven’t followed the Advanced thread, Thrill Data has a new page (link below) to track LL availability for each attraction for the next 21 days. Unfortunately there are no tidy charts for multiple attractions, but you can select an individual attraction and then choose a day to see availability for.
For example, here is the data for TBA as of ~7pm on 8/6:
As marked with highlighter, return times started to accelerate at 7am on 8/4. This is day 7+3. So put your hardest-to-get LLs on day 3 or beyond of your trip, if possible.
By the same token, don’t stress about day 7+4 and beyond. I wouldn’t even wake up early for these if you are not going to the parks the first few days of your stay.
