The Lightning Lane Thread! All WDW Info Here

Awesome - that’s pretty cool! Do you have those LL or are those the next return time?

Those are my return times (my LL’s)

I couldn’t get anything before 10, and that 10 am LL took me a while to get.

The return times definately look tough! It definately looks like this map is populating with our own personalized info.

My next question is - if you have selected rides of interest in the previously useless Genie section, and you have bought MP, will it show you next available LL return times in that map, in addition to the ones you have already booked?

Hey @flavita - did you have a post that described your pre-booking experience? If so, can you point me to that post? If not, I’d be interested to hear your experience with booking as a fellow August 2024 WDW traveler.

The only one I have is the one I posted yesterday, which I think you’ve seen? Not sure how useful it is… well, the post about modifying could be helpful. The rest is more about me being emotional. It was a bit frustrating.

I am just about to pull the trigger on convention tickets (not date-based) and want to make sure I have this correct. I am staying onsite (split stay though). I do not need to worry about this 3-day caveat, right? I fall into the normal rules of 7 days in advance of my stay?

I just want to triple check here.

Normal 7 day use. DH had a convention tix and I had an AP. I stayed at Pop and was able to my all my selections prior to the 3 day mark. It’s linked to the resort stay, not the ticket.

I’ll confirm @drvillarejos for you – on-site trumps ticket type, so if you are onsite, you get 7 days + length of stay regardless of ticket type held.

Thank you both! I will take the $500 ticket savings and apply it towards my $600 LL budget…

Sorry if this a stupid question but is there a specific thread that has “best” strategies for booking these new LLMP/SP’s? Now that my account finally works I was hoping to be able to get a handle on how best to approach booking once my window opens in 2 days but am a bit overwhelmed sifting through all of the replies here lol.

Generally the first post of the genie threads hold the needed info. Check it on this thread, the drops thread and the advanced planning thread.
Check the popular links at the top of this thread for those 2 threads.

Booked this morning for my Aug 9-15 trip.
Didnt care for MDE interface at all. Thought it was very easyo to get and purchase. The modify was poor. Difficult to move things around. I found it easier to just cancel something and go back in a rebook to get the time i wanted, modify would never let me get the window i was looking for in situations where i had things booked around it, even if it was withi. The window or overlap allowed. When i canceled, i had no issue…but i am alos risking losing whatbi had if the availability changed. Thankfully i never got burned.

After moving things around, i have a good start i think. Only thing i have that i consider an absolute waste is i put star tours at 9:15 as ASS was almost an hour later. I figure we can burn that early, and look for another right away. I will also be looking like crazy day of to move it to a better early attration day of, but will take the time advantage if nothing else surfaces.

I have a question that’s probably been answered above. I have read them all but I don’t remember:

Can I buy LLMP on my phone while my friend (in my party and going with me) buys the LLSP on her phone?

We would be logged in to our own accounts.

I feel this would save me some stress.

And this question may be obsolete once the MNSSHP parties start…

Yes you can absolutely do this. You can even do so logged in from the same account, but separate accounts might be slightly safer. Just make sure you are linked by trying to make plans together (like an ADR).

Thanks! We are on the same resort reservation and are all in the system.

Awesome.

I am arriving a day earlier than they are. Will I be able to get all of ours or will I have to wait a day?

I’m sure we’ll have tickets by then but I don’t yet.

Maybe by math is off but how did you book 8 days before your trip started? Offsite with a longer ticket?
