The Lightning Lane Thread! All DLR Info Here

DLR had to shut it down and issue refunds because it went sooo bad today…

Yes but some people were saying their admission was giving them green taps at all rides even without a LL reservation if they had bought Genie+. Like Disney was compensating them for it not working.

A new TP blog “How to use Genie+” for DL is out, in case you want to post here. Maybe it’s repetitive with the initial articles, not sure.

Here it is:

I’ll put it in the lead post too.

Based on the tip board, it doesn’t seem like many people purchased G+ today. Literally every G+ attraction at DLR has immediate return times available right now(1:10pm). And ROTR is 1:30.

The ROTR price of $20 on a slow day makes that look more like a set price than a variable price based on demand. Official standby line is only 55 minutes.

So is this what it will look like on a slow day? Or were guests gun-shy after yesterday’s less than stellar debut? Maybe some of both…

probably a combination of both and an expected rainy day to boot.

“ You can book one Lightning Lane reservation at a time, and can either make another selection after one hour, or once you use your previous Lightning Lane selection, whichever comes first. For example, If I have a Haunted Mansion reservation for 8:05 AM, I can make another reservation at 9:05 AM. But if I arrive at Haunted Mansion at 8:30 AM, I can immediately make another Lightning Lane reservation after I scan my ticket at the entrance of the ride”

Just read this in the TP article. Do we know if it’s confirmed that the time for choosing another LL is 1 hour rather than the 120 mins at WDW?

They didn’t even note that this was different from WDW! Makes me wonder if it was a typo. Let me know if anyone sees confirmation.

Apparently Day 2 has been a success:

So apparently RotR and MFSR have stopped dispensing as of 5:20, but I don’t understand why, because they were both only 30 min out from immediate. GotG and Goofy’s Sky School seemed to be the most popular LL options in DCA. I suspect something is wrong with the GSS data though, cause that doesn’t make sense.

Is there an event in GE or something else causing GE to close early? That seems so odd that RotR and MFSR would stop so early in the night.

Also re: DCA, GotG can easily be one of the hard to get LL’s if they have any issues that reduce the number of elevator shafts operating (in the past they would reduce number of FP’s distributed and would run out almost as fast as RSR), so I can absolutely see that one running out earlier, but something is definitely up with GSS. That one is easily an immediate one for all but the crowded middle part of the day.

There is a Merriest Night Party in DL tonight- I think GE is not open for that…

Ahh yes GE is not open for the Merriest Night parties so if there is one tonight then that definitely explains it. Though I would think all LL’s would stop for the party as well… considering they don’t have any other LL/FP for ticketed events.

Ah! That makes a bit more sense. And probably the other rides stopped issuing soon after I took this screenshot for the party.

GotG and Goofy were both down much (most?) of the morning.

Has anyone been able to confirm 1 vs 2 hours??

There is also a special event tonight in GE- In and Out party. I overheard some people talking about GE around 6:30 and said they couldn’t go in yet.

Guy’s article also seems to imply set prices for the ILL$. I thought that price fluctuated based on demand, but through two days it sure seems set at $20 for ROTR and $7 each for the other two.

At WDW the prices changed on the weekend. Since RotR is already maxed out at the advertised max of $20, I don’t think it will change. But RSR and WS may go up to $9 is my guess.

I bought Genie plus today just to test it out, barely even tried and had more FPs or whatever we are calling them now than I could even use. It’s essentially Maxpass with a more confusing interface. It is not particularly user friendly at first. Most times immediate return. Spent most of the day with friends, not really riding stuff but could have easily. Like Maxpass when a ride goes down and converts to an anytime, you can continue to book that ride over and over, and get more anytimes. I booked multiple rides that were down just to get multiple experience passes. I ended regular hours (7 at DL because of Merriest Nights) still with 2 unused anytimes. I could go use them in DCA, but I have party tickets.
