The Lightning Lane Thread! All DLR Info Here

Isn’t the “bonus” LLMP for resort guests more like a MEP, rather than actually selecting a ride?

Also, I doubt it’s worth the hassle, but let’s say you plan on staying at a DL resort for 4 nights, you could always book 4 single night stays to get 4 LL.

Where is the La Caca DL and DCA planning list? I thought there was a list a while ago that is recommended if you want to do 2 parks in 1 day?

Here’s a relatively recent thread with advice for a short trip to DLR:

Oops, I swear I spelled La Cava! I could have swore there was another post ages ago where it was a one day plan to start in DCA and end in DL and it covered a bunch of rides. It was different than this one.

This would make sense. I just reached out to Disneyland over chat. They said I will “need to reserve the ride in advance.” FWIW.

Are there reliable LL drops for rides at Disneyland throughout the day like there are at Disneyworld?

They fluctuate a lot more but on the whole it’s far easier to secure LLs across the two parks. Especially because the morning can stay slow until 10am-11am so you can use that time to focus on non-LL and start stacking.

I just tagged you in the DLR drop thread.

Oh thanks for resurfacing that @Jeff_AZ ! Starting to do more remembering for my DL trip in April.

At DL/DCA, when you tap/scan into a LL, is there just one tap/scan point or do some attractions have 2?

I’m fairly sure there is only 1 for each attraction. There is a CM at the merge point, but I don’t recall them ever checking for a LL on my recent trip. There might be an exception.

LLMP clarification question: For the two-hour booking window, does it start when I book my first LLMP after park tap in or does it start at rope drop? Thanks!

(4 days away. Getting excited!)

I’ve been testing drop times and have noticed it is very common for drops to still occur for an attraction that is down. Often the return times are as short as 15 min away. Seems like an easy MEP generator

The two hour window starts as soon as you’ve booked your first LLMP, which you can do as soon as you scan into the park, even if before official opening.

Each ride has one place where you tap in for LL, but there is more than one scanning device at each. The LL entrances are well-marked, though hard for me to find on BTMRR.

Checking back in on the extra LLMP for resort guests. Morning of for us. I now have the passes in my account. They appear to be anytime passes to be used at any single LLMP attraction without having to pre book at one I’ve selected. The passes with QR codes for each of us say “Lighting Lane -Select Experiences.” Will confirm later. :+1:

Did they reach out to you to select your passes or anything like that?

Appeared in the app. There was an email notice when I booked hotel, and maybe a reminder afterward. But no email notice when it became available.

Also, can now confirm it was indeed an anytime pass and worked like a charm for GoG. (Great day btw :+1:)

That’s awesome! An anytime pass is the best case scenario for this perk. I mean, aside from it being daily for your stay inside of just once per stay.

When it was first announced I worried that you’d have to pick an attraction and they may not have everything available.

Can you reserve a LL at the other park (like if you see a good opportunity to get a MEP) or does the app prevent you from grabbing times before 11am when you can park hop?
