Oh, sometimes haggis look like hairy Guinea pigs, not sheep.

Keep scrolling down this page, it gets even funnier!

Vegetarian haggis is an oxymoron. It’s not haggis.

You had me going with this for a bit! I thought well maybe they named the dish after the animal…

DS6 has seen Nessie in many of the Lochs! She has enjoyed meeting his T-Rex friend Nicey. :t_rex:

Today we went up to Oban. Very cute town! I do not know how we got the weather lottery yesterday but today was back to the clouds and drizzle. Still relatively warm though. Hard to believe that we only have one more day left in the Lochs!

Dad’s embarrassing kids since 1983.

Europe always has better playgrounds than us! And my kids can always find them!

Stopped at the beach on the way out of town! Good pic by DS6. And there were a few people swimming!

Castle #3 - Kilchurn Castle.

I thought this was used in Outlander but I don’t think so now!

It does look like a cute town.

It wasn’t?

Well it looks like the Lallybroch castle but it definitely isn’t that. I googled and couldn’t find anything. I think it would be difficult to film here anyway. I’m standing on the edge of train tracks and then there is only a long slim access road to get to the castle.

I actually can’t think of seeing any Lochs in the show really, probably because they are supposed to be much higher in the Highlands. And this castle is like basically in the water. They do probably use a skinny Loch somewhere as the rivers of NC.

We had to visit several Outlander film sites because of my DD.

I would like to start this post with the fact that it’s 9:45pm!

We had some pouring rain this morning and then the sun came through in the afternoon.

Took a medium level hike with the kiddos.

Mummy - it’s a fairy pool!!

Very importantly we found the deep, dark wood! IYKYK.

Dinner at the Goil Inn. We’re such healthy eaters.

Note: I feel like I could become a millionaire (or at least a very popular mom) if I brought these kind of ice cream cones to the US.

That’s proper ice cream cones. None of this squirty stuff.
And yep love the late evenings in U.K. summer. Ds15 was still swimming in the canal w friends at 9.30 last night.
