How did we determine this?

Disney could make it so that if a reservation is cancelled you lose your LLs.

I would hate this tbh. I’d much rather pay more for everything in G+.

Prebook one tier 1 (what was ILL) and one other attraction, (what was in G+), then free for all from there.

But they could solve this easily by having the tiers for preselection, but then allowing you to book more tier A day of.

Trial and error as reported by various Liners. Not definitive.

Just got back from my two day - four park trip! 26 attractions during the trip, hitting practically every major one. Wow. First of all, thank you to everyone on this forum!! Y’all answering my questions made this trip possible. Jeff, Bebe, Robin, and many others. Will gladly give a more detailed account of the trip for anyone interested, but wanted to at least drop some encouragement and advice

  1. Every little bit of research that you do is absolutely worth it. I spent a lot of time reading about G+, looking at the average times available, memorizing drop times. More than any tool, the info that I knew had the greatest return on investment. Do the research and it’ll be worth it!

  2. I know we all miss BG1, and granted MDE does suck, but it’s doable! Don’t let that ruin your trip! Learn the tricks and the user interface, and then go and conquer!

  3. Guest Experiences is amazing. If you have any issues, or if you made any mistakes, or if you have anything at all, go talk to them! They pulled out two magical moments for me this trip and it would have been different without them.

Congrats on a successful trip! I’m honored to have helped in whatever way I did!

I needed this, thanks.

FWIW, I exclusively used MDE last August and had zero problems with getting LLs, ILLs I wanted, or any Cosmic Rewind VQ I tried for - including the 6pm one for Epcot Evening Hours for deluxe guests. ZERO ISSUES.

Hi there! My daughter and I are spending a day and half in the World in October as a tie-in to a college visit. Would love to hear some of the best tips, things that worked well (and of course things that didn’t) for such a short trip. We’re still formulating our plans and won’t try to do everything but a highlights/how-much-can-we-do-without-the-whole-fam-slowing-us-down is what we’re thinking.

Yes.

But I’ve seen plenty of iPhone people claiming it doesn’t work for them.

Hey! I think you can do a ton in a day and a half. One of our trip members was with us for that amount of time (didn’t stay the full 2nd day), and they did practically everything. Let me try to put up some notes:

What went well:

  • Rope-dropping 7DMT on MK (Saturday, Crowd Level 5) at regular park-open time. MDE said wait time of 70 minutes. We were in and out within 30 minutes.
  • Using the monorail and Uber to park-hop.
  • Buying and using ILL, specifically for FOP and Cosmic Rewind. Well worth the money.
  • We got fortunate to catch a Multi-Pass Experience and we used the “golden ticket” trick. Worked amazing. We then asked Guest Experiences to change it to a ride when we park-hopped.
  • We planned around the major drop times for Epcot. It is risky, but worked out well for us. I got Remy and FEA both by drops.

What didn’t go well:

  • Because of prioritizing for time, we walked. A ton. Definitely was not optimized for distance.

Is your half day early in the day, middle of the day, or end of the day? This would impact my suggestions.

We will arrive about noon on a Saturday and will have all day Sunday. However we also plan to do MNSSHP on Sunday night so that means in the scheduling MK has a fixed slot. Thankfully the only must-do’s there are Tron and Space Mountain, as we want to enjoy the party.

Has anyone figured out if there is a reasonable way to refresh times for one attraction now that BG1 is no longer (sniff…sniff…)?

I know this didn’t work for a while, but seems to work for me currently…

In MDE, toggle back and forth from the attraction on the Tip Board (tapping on the attraction name) and the attraction page (tapping on the “LL”).

Of course as a viewing-only tool, you can use use the BG1 Tip Board and “star” the attraction so it stays pinned to the top when you refresh.

That is what I did during the trip!

Here is what I would do if I had that schedule …

Saturday: Buy G+ and start stacking LLs for HS. Book SDD LL at 7:00 am and then another LL at each time eligible thereafter. Use modify to get all the scheduled LLs for the afternoon and evening. Purchase ILL for Rise at 7:00 am. From 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with G+ and ILL you should be able to do the highlights (and more) at HS.

Sunday: Morning/early afternoon at Epcot and late afternoon/evening at MK. Buy G+. At 7:00 am book earliest possible LL for Remy at Epcot and book ILLs for Guardians and Tron. RD Epcot. Ride Remy as soon as you can and as soon as you tap in, book LL for your preference of TT or FEA. Try to get what is left of TT or FEA at a drop. After you have booked all the LLs you want at Epcot, book LL for SM at MK (if still available).

I would skip AK if I only had 1.5 days.
