Always modify when you can. Don’t cancel. I modified easily on BG1. I only modified a few LLs to get them later so that we would actually be in the park.

The only time I cancelled a LL was one most of my party members rode a ride and one didn’t, and so it was easier just to clear that person’s LL out rather than have it hanging out all day in my dashboard.

Thanks all! Does anyone know if modifying a LL causes G+ to consider it your latest reservation? Or does your true latest reservation remain the latest?

Ie, if you modify a reservation and then ride it, does that trigger a redemption event?

Modifying a LL does not cause the system to think it is your most recent G+ selection. I modified a lot on my trip two weeks ago. I don’t know about MDE bc I used BG1 for everything I could, but BG 1 tells you when you can make your next selection.

Awesome, thank you for the clarification! Did you have a strategy around modification or just found yourself having to change the times a lot?

I modified at the drops in order to get better rides, better times, or both. For example, at Epcot, I modified whatever I had to FEA at a reasonably close return time at one of the drops, and I did that a number of times over the course of our trip. Equally or more often, I was modifying to push out times to give our family more time to get where we were going, or to change plans on the fly. I was nervous about the same thing you were, but when I did it the first time and didn’t break anything, that increased my confidence considerably. I did have one time where I accidentally let go of a good time on a good G+ selection because I wasn’t paying close enough attention on the return times, but my family had no idea what my original plan was, so nobody knew except me.

That gives me a huge boost in confidence. If there’s any way you would be willing to review my plan at some time, I would really appreciate that. Essentially however, I am thinking the same thing you mentioned: Modify later G+ reservations at the drop times (because we are park-hopping for the middle of the day).

I feel like I have a million more questions and I keep going in circles hahaha. One at a time.
If I modify the latest booked G+, and then I ride it, that is a redemption event and I can book another yes? As a hypothetical, I book a 8pm ride, then modify it to be a 2pm ride, and perform no other actions in between. Once I ride it at 2pm, I can then book another yes?

Correct, if you modify your latest LL to an earlier time and are able to ride, you can then book a new LL.

how you do keep track of your latest LL booking? Does one have to count on one’s brain? Or one’s teenager? (I have neither fully functioning for my August trip)

Does “latest” mean last in sequence of time of your bookings, or last booked (dumb question, except, not so obvious…)

No clue to your first question, as this is my first trip with G+ too.

As to your second question, from what I understand it is the last booked, not the farthest out in time. Please someone correct me if I am wrong! And no dumb questions here  I’ve asked plenty of clarifying questions too haha

“Most recent” booking is probably a better term. :slightly_smiling_face:

@joelbruick does BG1 indicate which LL was your most recently booked? I remember when the rules were you could only modify your most recent LL, there was a blue indicator dot in front of that one.

Well said! I do like that terminology better.

Just to double check, that’s no longer the rule correct? One can modify any booking before and within it’s window (Rule 10)?

Correct. Any currently held LL can be modified. To an earlier time, like during a drop. Or later, like if you get a placeholder but plan on using at night and bump it back.

Not anymore.

Thanks for the swift reply Joel.

Any chance someone happens to have a screen recording of modifying a LL reservation? Either BG1 or MDE

thx! and my non-teenager-enabled planning self is relieved at the relative simplicity

Not sure if anyone has a recent one. But here is one before Disney allowed modifying, but BG1 had the rebook option.

Awesome! Thank you. Hoping the UI is similar. Mainly I’m interested if I can constantly refresh while modifying, which in that version I can.

If you’re not sure which LL was the most recent, just check what your next eligible booking time is after you tap in to your LL, that will be the indicator.

It will tell you what time you’re eligible to book which was super helpful.
