Here are a couple of polls along those lines. I can always add more.

In the episode, they talked about opening a walking path from Pandora to AKL. Len said it was about half a mile. So they wouldn’t need a new hotel necessarily, just a new entrance.
For MK, I considered asking about other locations around MK but I don’t think there is room anywhere else. But feel free to comment below with ideas!
I am against any hotel being attached to AK- for the animals sake. But HS needs some resort action. I would love a SW themed hotel that wasn’t priced like Star Cruiser experience. There isn’t much space around Hollywood Studios so it’s tough. A resort at the Entrance of Epcot would be nice too- maybe something that could have direct access to the Monorail.
What I would really like to see is WDW add the Skyliner to OKW somehow.
I actually think that BWV is “close enough” to HS. I was reading a TP blog post about Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel and it included this: “it is .4 miles from the lobby of Disney’s Boardwalk Resort to EPCOT’s World Showcase, .4 miles from Loews Royal Pacific Resort to Islands of Adventure, and .5 miles from The Contemporary to Disney’s Magic Kingdom.” I think HS is closer (especially from the Villas) to HS. I don’t know if HS or EP really needs another close resort (or really MK). I know that Disney may want an answer to Helios but is it needed? Now I want to change my poll response …..
I thought I was seeing a water way beside Pandora. Opening boat access to a park from AKL would grant that resort full Deluxe rating, not that Disney does those designations any more.
Seems as tho I’ve heard that the back of MK resort was to be an ultra deluxe. This seems dumb to me. There’s plenty of high end stays in the World. In the MK area especially. Which is a value desert. Can you imagine how booked up a well-built but low on amenities resort in that location would be? Put a couple of towers, one room wide, so that one side of the building is walkways and entry doors and the opposite side is windows. Slightly angle the buildings towards each other (like 《 ) so that every room has an MK view. No need to make large trikes or dogs or trumpets or balls. Your view is your decoration. Keep the overnight cost slightly lower than the All Stars.
I don’t really think so. I would love some more theming to go into some of the new resorts. While Riviera is beautiful it misses the mark for me. I’m excited about Lakeshore Lodge but I feel like it is still going to be too subtle.
Think Disney needs to work on their own issues and projects. Helios won’t be the latest and greatest forever.
I don’t think that would ever happen. If anything it would be more long the pricing guidelines of pop and art of animation. I wouldn’t mind seeing something like that attached to Magic Kingdom thinking about it. Although Magic Kingdom does have an awful lot of resorts already. I like the idea of something away from a park but with transportation other than both buses. I’m a huge fan of boat transportation.
The trouble is that I think the location would trump this consideration. So you’d still have an ultra-expensive room with no amenities. So they might as well make it nice.
ETA: But I like the idea in theory if it were somehow possible!
One example is no pool or hot tub - only a splash area. This caters to parents of toddler and/or preschoolers. Leaving the existing values and moderates more in line with families of older kids.
Walkways to MK and elevators plus a wide entry area in each room allow for stroller or scooter ease.
I would love a deluxe villains themed resort with an MK entrance. No idea if that would be appealing to others, or it serves the greater needs, but I’d be all over it
