Was this for official opening of 9:00 (early entry 8:30)? You queued for GotG? Did you enter via the front gate or International Gateway?

Same question about opening hours.

For MK, was that ride time for 7DMT?

I’ve rope-dropped FoP several times and didn’t find it to be terrible. The line was very orderly. YMMV—I’m an early riser and I hate paying for LLSP.

In each park there is a place one person from each party had to be scanned. Parties had to be together or no scan.

At EP they walked down the three lines they made you form into

At MK it was in the bridge to Tomorrowland for 7DMT

At HS it was near the entrance to Toystory Land near the popcorn kiosk.

I can’t remember at AK. I can not explain what a crushing messy madhouse that was. I’ll ask DDs to see if they recall.

At AK on-site guests go to the left right after the taps to get scanned. Off site go to the right to be held until EE is over

Yes. We pulled through parking at 7:30AM. We went to main entrance.
Security was up and running. Taps were already open 2/3 times and opened within minutes 1/3.
Immediately directed to that semi covered area near guest relations and told to firm three lines 3/3 times. CMs walked down the lines scanning one person of each group.
We fast walked to GOTG. 1/3 times we were first car out per DH who didn’t ride.

HS.
While we were usually very near the front for EP we were a smidge back for HS given Skyliner crowds.

Got on SDD 8:19AM for 8:30 open.

MK
At 7:21AM I took a selfie pic in front of Dwarves House at the end of the ride.

AK
This is only my second experience RD FOP and I don’t really recall 2019 except it was mobbed.
This time I feared children would be trampled. I’m glad that’s not SOP.

Clearly I can’t guarantee everyone will have same experiences with rides starting early. GOTG didn’t start early either if my Nov RD’s.

There was something else I was going to add and I just got distracted.

Just remembered!
SDD was not open on time out decks RD HS day. Pretty much everyone went to TSMM. It also started early and moved quickly. We were amongst the first out. SDD had long waits most of the rest of the day. We didn’t ride it again that day. I don’t know when it came online. At least an hour after opening, is my guess.

YES!!! Thank you.
I had asked at the taps which way to walk after taps opened and she asked if we were guests or not. Now I remember being scanned just inside. Thank you!

And I obviously left this comment before having heard this week’s episode. Now I have! It was fun to hear everything that everyone quote-unquote “emailed.”

I’m glad to know that that they’re looking on the forum for responses because I’m too lazy to email them

I listened to the latest episode this morning while I was baking pies. If we’re talking about Deluxe versus Moderate, I feel like Coronado Springs needs to be mentioned. You have so many good restaurant choices, the main pool is great (with a slide!) and the rooms are beautiful. And all at Moderate prices!

The only place it falls down is transportation, because you do need to take the bus to everything, but with the money you save on the room you can just Minnie Van everywhere.

I have listened to the podcasts. I love all the thoughts! Really!

I feel that the premise of deciding which side wins is squishy?

but i’ll keep listening

Yes! And the bus is not up to Value standards. I rent a car if staying there, but love Grans Destino!

Well noted, it’s very squishy as the answer is always, well it depends…. but then we try get Jim’s side of things to confirm his expert choice. But maybe we just make a gag of ‘it depends’ any thoughts much appreciated!

I Love it and listen every time!

For the record, I like the gimmick of the court and the decision / making a judgment. Of course half the audience will always disagree with the verdict. But it makes it interesting and gives the show character!

Thanks for all your lovely feedback. We’ll probably do another feedback episode soon… so here’s the topics we’ve chatted about, if you have any input….

Deluxe Resorts
After Hours Events
Club Level Rooms
(and a sneak peak at this weeks episode, Butterbeer!)

I know it is too late for the park hopping input, but I would like to give feedback on one item brought up during the original show - park hoping DOES help maximize LL.

I listen to the podcast while walking my dog and my fellow dog walkers must have thought I was crazy when I suddenly said outloud, “Len, you are 100% wrong”. If you start at Animal Kingdom, where you can get an LL for three permium rides and then hop to Magic Kingdom - that’s the best LL value out there.
