I can say from past company experiences that any time you centralize budgeting it may help the numbers, but the company will suffer (both internally and with consumers). Every single time I’ve been a part of that it’s been to shore up the financials in preparation for selling something. And any time you have a very small circle of people making all the major decisions… triuble trouble trouble. I bet there a many unhappy and conflicted employees there not wanting to leave, but racing toward a breaking point where either things change or they leave. That makes me sad.
