Thanksgiving. Am I crazy?

I’ve got Disney fever… really bad. Looking at Thanksgiving week–specifically Friday-Wednesday before. (Tour Friday/Saturday, Rest Sunday, Tour Monday/Tuesday). Am I crazy? We have always taken the kids out of school, but with middle and high Schoolers now, the workload is a lot.

I’ve always used Touring Plans and I’ve always been amazed at how efficient it makes our days. I don’t want to spend the money just to be frustrated. Those who have been when the parks are at a 9, does the Touring Plans magic still work? What are your thoughts? Can I make it work?

Thanks!!

PS. Has anyone done the FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course?

I have used Touring Plans durning both Christmas and Easter. We generally manage to everything we want without waiting more than 20 minutes in any line.

On some trips we have done even better, but when planning those trips I really dove deep down the rabbit hole of tips and tricks and planning.

I’ve done Thanksgiving weekend the last 2 or 3 years. It’s definitely busy but doable. With older kids it might even be better. Temper expectations, good plan and you’ll be fine. Might even get a break Mon/Tue as people leave.

I’m worried that my husbands expectations will not be happy with a 8/9 crowd levels. hehe

That what I was hoping to to hear. We have friends that go all the time and they say if you are smart you can get most everything done. Tiered Fastpass was my specialty, so I’m thinking that the new lightning lane multipass will fall into my wheelhouse, and we can make this happen

We have done Thanksgiving at Disney twice - once under old Fast Pass rules and once under Genie+ rules. Both trips were great! I relied heavily on Touring Plans and prioritizing rides and attractions that my family considered “can’t miss”. If you are planning to fly, you might consider flying home on Thanksgiving day. Flights are generally much cheaper on that Thursday and the airport wasn’t bad at all either time we travelled. I say go for it!
