A while back “movies to watch before a trip” was discussed here on the forum. I can’t find it. But a quick Google search brought up a few lists. This one has it broken down by park.
It’s a lot of movies. I’d find out what they’re already familiar with. I’d also prioritize the list so ones with a minor park presence are at the bottom.
We spent a whole year picking Disney movies for our kids to watch on their Saturday/Sunday movie nights (don’t judge me lol). Here’s what I have off the top of my head…but probably missed something
Magic Kingdom:
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Winnie the Pooh
Snow White
Tangled (Rapunzel M&G)
Princess & The Frog
Peter Pan
Cinderella
The Little Mermaid
Coco (because of Philharmagic, which was a family fav)
Aladdin
EPCOT:
Ratatouille
Frozen
Guardians of the Galaxy
Finding Nemo
Hollywood Studios:
Star Wars (Particularly 4-9, as you know 
)
Mandalorian
Toy Story (at least 1 & 2)
Cars
Indiana Jones
Beauty & the Beast
Animal Kingdom:
Avatar
Lion King
Up
We didn’t watch Pirates, Haunted Mansion or Indy, because my kids (especially my youngest) was way too young. The little one didn’t watch SW either - just my 7/8 year old.
Some of the movies above can be watched for other parks, but I just chose not to repeat them 
I’m not sure he will be into characters…but that could also add to your list lol (i.e. Mary Poppins, Aristocats, Monsters Inc, etc.).
I wonder if this is a copyright issue? I don’t know
