I don’t really eat a lot of sweets, but this is a must-stop on any visit to EP. Everything I’ve had there has been excellent. The cream horn from Kringla in Norway was great with morning coffee (many people praise the School Bread there, but I found it very dry and kind of tasteless).
Hot take, there. And we tried the cream horn and found it bland and uninspired! School bread is so much better. But…I think you have to like coconut, really.
I liked it despite the coconut.
Agreed that Karamel Kuche is the closest. A lot of the other shops are pastries instead (not that I’m complaining
).
Some of my other favorites, just in case:
Parfait aux Fruits at Les Halles (I know, I was shocked too last time)
Pretzel bread pudding in Germany
Croque Glace in France - had a tip to try caramelized pecan ice cream with caramel sauce, but I bet others would work well too (this is messy / does not travel far)
I liked a couple of the cookies at Oasis Sweets, but I’m blanking on which ones.
I have the chocolate chip cookie at Kringla on my list to try in a future trip.
