Swan / Dolphin hidden fees add up, and no reason for locals to stay here for a stay-cation.
- $50 resort fee (ridiculous)
- $38 parking (absolutely ridiculous)
I’m no fan of paying Disney prices for on-site resort, but they do have better options than this.

The fees are absurd, but 1) the parking and resort fees are in line with the other four to five star hotels in the Disney/Orlando area, 2) even with those fees, the Swolphin prices are still usually half of their counterpart hotels around Crescent Lake and 3) you get the added benefit of being able to collect Marriott points at the Swolphin (if you value that).

Thanks.
Agree to disagree on the 4/5 star statement.
DEFINITELY not 5 star, and worn, tired, dated facilities, tiny bathrooms … 4 star is a stretch.
But travel sites call them 4 star, so i get the comparison. Just not sure why.
No, they’re definitely four star resorts. They just redid the Swan rooms, and the Swan Reserve is still new-ish. I hope they redo the Dolphin rooms next. They’re heavy convention hotels in one of the most touristy spots in the U.S., so the rooms see a lot of wear and tear very quickly.
Definitely agree on 4 star. Perhaps worn 4-star resorts in need of refurb in some cases, but labeling them 3-star would be inappropriate based on industry comparisons.
Also agree 5-star is inappropriate though, but I don’t think that was @arifkind’s intention.
Yup, was just more so saying the resort and parking fees are in line with other upscale resorts in the area! I’d definitely call the Swolphin 4*.
