Stroller for WDW and DCL Recommendations

I am looking for input on the best stroller for our trip! We will be taking our three kids—7, 4, and 2—for four days in WDW (two park days) followed by a five night cruise. My parents will be with us throughout the trip.

Here is what we currently have access to: Thule Double, Thule Single, and a single umbrella stroller. We also have a carrier for the two year old. We also have one of the banned stroller wagons that I wish I could bring (evenflo pivot xplore).

First, both DD7 and DD4 are over 35 pounds, so some lightweight stroller options I’ve seen recommended will not work. I am planning to bring a packed lunch or breakfast on park days, changes of clothes, plenty of water, etc, so the storage should be substantial on the stroller. We are also planning on doing the 5K on Castaway, so taking our jogging stroller would be a help, but our parents could watch the kids then if needed. However, we will also need to navigate the stroller through the ship. One port is Mexico, so I am also wondering if I will want a more substantial stroller than an umbrella for that port.

So far as I can tell, we have a few options:

  1. Bring the Thule double and deal with the cruise hallways (we will be able to store it in my brother’s room nearby, as he will have a cabin all to himself).
  2. Rent a city mini double for the parks and bring the umbrella for the cruise—I’d love feedback on the storage on these as I hated the storage on my single city mini.
  3. Bring both the double Thule and the umbrella.
  4. Purchase an entirely different stroller keeping an eye on black Friday deals (hence why I’m posting now).
  5. Bring the single Thule and have 4 and 7 alternate walking while I wear DS2.
  6. Bring two single umbrella strollers.

Thoughts? Advice? Thank you!
