My autistic son is a HUGE Mario fan and the last time we were at Epic, I epically failed in the character greeting area (3 time on Mario Kart though.) He did love “meeting” Chef Toad at the restaurant. 
Any tips for Nintendo character meetings at Epic? We’re heading down during Jersey week this November.

The characters come out sporadically in the main area, lowest level. I sat and watched them happened a few times while waiting for others.
I didn’t pay attention to whether there was a posted schedule or not though.
Scheduled times for main characters typically run hourly from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM via the official app, while others appear intermittently in designated zones.
Character Locations:
Mario & Luigi: Located near the Mushroom Kingdom center or the Yoshi’s Adventure bridge; often appear together.
Princess Peach: Greets guests near her designated gazebo area.
Toad: Appears around the Mushroom Kingdom, sometimes alternating spots with the Mario brothers.
Donkey Kong: Found further back inside Donkey Kong Country near the minecart coaster track
We were in epic today. They do post times for when they come out in the app. There are also staff around the locations so you can also ask them. We didn’t spend much time there but we saw Peach and Mario and Luigi several times. I think Donkey Kong is a little more rare but not sure. I’m not sure if you can see the times in the app unless you’re in the park - I didn’t test that out.
We were there in January so things may have changed. Every time we tried to meet Mario and Luigi, the line had already closed. Basically, people had been standing in line from the last time they were out. So, an hour. I would ask a staff member when to get in line.
Thanks for the info, everyone! @hartcruise I am worried about that exact situation - when we were there for the first time, when we saw a line for meet and greet, it was already closed off. . .
Might have to stand in line while the rest of the fam rides Mario Kart. . .
