Now that I’m safely aboard the plane with tomato juice in hand… a quick thought: I should never cut it that close again.

This worked out perfectly, as I walked onto the plane, no stopping, but I didn’t have time to go to the restroom or anything. And I got another 3 hours of flight.

I think, as icky as it sounds, getting the later layover would have been much better. Even if it means I have to stay in Dallas a bit - hyruuk- a bi— hrrrr- a bit longer.

What’s even better is just going nonstop.

LAX is not that bad. And you for sure don’t take 3-6 hours to get from there to DLR (factoring in layover time)

I dunno. Jeff was pretty convinced. Those were the comments of someone who has seen some s***.

But we’re movin’. See ya in like …3 hours? 2? How do time zones work?

All those planes waiting to take off. Get it together, Dallas.

Finally made it to the hotel.

Room isn’t ready, so need to leave luggage with bell services. Bit of a line, but moving quick.

It’s here! I hope you find the charm, the history, and all the endless snacks DL has to offer. If you have food questions, ask away! I will be ready to answer! I suppose I can help answer other stuff too. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So nice! One of my favorite things about arriving to DL & Main St is hearing the theme “Married Life”.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I would be throwing toys out too. Don’t they understand the assignment is to always have tomato juice on an airplane for people like us who live for enjoying its elevated taste at similarly elevated heights??

Oh wow!! Amazing! And relieved at there being tomato juice after all.

And a 2nd breakfast! Man, this trip is already amazing.

Amazing! See LAX would not have given you that experience. I have only ever connected through LAX but it’s the traffic around it that would give me the most pause. I’m not sure how it is on a Sunday morning but definitely better than a Mon-Fri morning.

Could be. Also could be the morning layer of fog/marine layer that sits on the hills. We drive through it on our drives in. It clears away a couple of hours after the sunrise. If it’s still smoky later though, then it’s a fire.

But it would be wrong. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Also kidding. Mostly.

Yay! And… first thoughts???

Reminds me of the first 20 seconds of this video:

Yarn is broken so I can’t get a gif. Instead here is a slideshow of the scene in four parts:

Yeah, I think for an extra 3 hours I’d avoid LAX. But maybe not 6 …
