Storyteller's Cafe: Breakfast, Brunch or Dinner?

Trying to plan ahead for ADRs over Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. Strongly considering Storyteller’s Cafe for dinner the night before the 10k (Friday night) or as a celebration after the 10k (Anytime between 9-1).

I’m a Disneyland newbie (only visited once for 2.5 days), so would love your input – which would you recommend? Breakfast, Brunch or Dinner?

I’ve read almost nothing about dinner, so thinking maybe breakfast/brunch is our best bet? But we’re not planning on the parks the day before the 10k, so was thinking it would be a fun way to have some characters/Disney magic before the weekend gets underway. We’d pick the very first timeslot, 4pm, as available.

Thanks so much in advance. Disneyland planning is so overwhelming to me!

Storyteller’s breakfast/brunch has the best breakfast food of all the table service restaurants in my opinion. I would go for one of those two. I’ve never been for dinner, I don’t think there are characters but it costs almost as much as the meals with characters. The characters at breakfast/brunch have on adorable outfits.

Unless things have changed in the last year, dinner is no characters, just the food. But if you look at the website for the restaurant and read through the “Know Before You Go” info it will spell out if there are characters or not for each meal.

Their breakfast/brunch is one of the best meals on property! Brunch will include a carving station but may not also have the make your own omelets which I am sure are at breakfast. Both have the smoked salmon that is my DH’s favorite so we easily interchange between whenever we’ve done it.

I love the brunch at Storytellers Cafe. Best food of the character meals in Disneyland.

Has anyone booked the Storyteller’s Cafe Brunch reservation around 1:00? I’m curious if the characters still walk around enough to make it worth it?
