Staying at the Riviera for the first time next month, bringing the kids for their high school graduation trip are there any tips or tricks or cool things to check out while we are staying there or any good tips to know as far as using the Skyliner in the mornings evenings, etc.
Hi and welcome back to the forum! We have stayed at the Riviera many times and love it!
Primo Piatto is a very nice quick service restaurant. La Petite Cafe has really good desserts if you are looking to pick up something sweet. The atmosphere at the resort is very relaxed. The skyliner is so convenient, but be cautious at Park open and close times. The Riviera is the last stop before Epcot, so there can be long lines to get on the skyliner when the park is opening, because a lot of the cars are full from the other resorts. After fireworks and park closing, the Epcot line to get back to the resort can be absurdly long. If the finale is not important to you, try to get to the skyliner before fireworks end. Your other option would be to take the ferry to HS and then get on the skyliner at HS to get back to the Riviera. Bus service to MK, AK, and DS was very good and efficient. Nice covered area at the bus stop. The quiet pool is great, but we don’t have much experience with the main pool. I have heard that Bar Riva has good food. Never ate there. We have found all of the staff at the Riviera to be incredibly nice and very accommodating.
Hope you have a great stay!
ETA: Forgot to add that the Riviera is right next to Caribbean Beach Resort. One of DH’s favorite things to do is take his early morning walks through that lovely resort.
Does Riviera ever share buses with any other resorts coming from DS?
No, it does not share with other resorts in my experience.
A few weeks ago we watched the Epcot fireworks for the rooftop at Topolinos. They pipe in the music. We ordered drinks afterward and sat outside enjoying the view.
Thanks, so many larger resorts do share.
Nor in my experience.
