Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade debuts July 20th

We were able to walk back and watch the fireworks from Fantasyland. I was a little.sad my sister didn’t get to see the projections but it was still a cool experience and better than waiting in the Hub for hours!

MK blackouts have been lifted for CMs through Aug 14, so they have a chance to see this parade.

I know, I was just joking about how nice it is that they dropped the complicated rule but it’s still really complicated. I wish they’d just drop the weekend MK thing.

I agree they are dumb and not needed but it isn’t really difficult to make them, :woman_shrugging:

I agree until I change my plans on a trip and forget to change the APR. Nothing like being at the taps and hearing, “Friend, it doesn’t seem you have a reservation for this park today.” :woman_facepalming:t4::laughing:

Also, I shared this on a different thread, but heck yeah they should let the CMs see the parade! On night two the entire Pecos Bills crew stepped out to watch the parade. Their reactions were my favorite part of watching the parade!

Looking at the videos, the floats look really tall. If we step back from the crowd at the rope, I was thinking that we would still be able to see most of it. Is that accurate? Or is being in the front important to see?

My niece got to see it for the first time the other day and texted me that I need to see it, she loved it so much. It was hard to fit into my trip because of Halloween parties and our after hours/extended evening hour plans. So I changed my dates so I fly in a day later and fly out a day later! Her boyfriend was part of the CM crew that practiced nights to prep for it and he has been more critical of it (but she thinks he’s a little bitter that they didn’t take any of the CM suggestions to make it better).

I was back from the rope but on a slight upslope, so that helped me see everything. There are some walk around characters, but not many, that would be harder to see if you aren’t at the rope or on an incline. But the parade is definitely viewable from more of a distance.

I’m glad she loved it and thinks you will! I wonder what his criticisms were and of they are the same as mine, which wouldn’t be hard to fix. It needs more audience interaction.

True I was with my sisters who are 5’6" and 5’10". The incline helped!

What time does the parade reach Tiana’s/end of route? I know it takes about 12 minutes to pass any given point on the route, but I’m curious when you can expect the parade reach the end if you want to watch it from there

Last Wednesday we watched the 9PM parade from here:

I’d say that was about 1/2 way.

Time stamps on photos says first float 9:18 and last float 9:29. The parade was headed from Main Street toward Tiana.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Smart to look at the time stamp. My first picture was 3rd float of the parade at 9:26 and I was at Pecos Bills.

Does anyone know why the Starlight Parade doesn’t show up on the calendar for November? Was it supposed ot be a limited time event?

Disney is slow at releasing times for some things, including Starlight. It will be there, it’s just not officially posted yet.

Can’t remember - are your dates later in November? They might be swapping out Starlight with the Christmas parade once that officially starts. I haven’t seen any announcements though.
