I’ve seen “summer” mean early July, I’ve seen it mean September 17. So, I think this is Disney just covering their 
so to speak.

I’m hoping that they fixed most stuff last year and just “band aided” a few things and those didn’t work so they need to repair those remaining things properly so it wont be too long…

But they did say Summer 2023 last year and it did open May 29th

The tend to over estimate on ride closures knowing that if you book a trip knowing a ride is closed and it reopens earlier thats its a positive vs if you book a trip waiting for a ride to reopen and it is still down would really hurt guest satisfaction numbers

A better reason is that there was a major refurb that needed to be done that would take for example a year to complete. Rather than have the ride down for a complete year and have lower ride capacity during higher attendance, they broke it down to 2 refurbs during the slower attendance.
