My special needs brother wants to meet Goofy, Donald and Pluto specifically. What’s the best, most efficient way to make this happen for him? Thanks!
In the my Disney experience app, you can filter experiences (including rides attractions dining and character meets) to show you the list of characters and times for each park.
Click the little teardrop at the bottom of the page and scroll over to “characters” to see it!
For me, the easiest way to meet characters is at a character meal. I get to enjoy a meal and entertainment with glorious air conditioning! Unfortunately, all three don’t meet at the same character meal!
Currently, these are where they meet:
- Pluto - Chef Mickey, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, and O’hana
- Goofy - Cape May Cafe, Chef Mickey, Hollywood & Vibe, and Tusker House
- Donald - Chef Mickey, and Topolino’s, and Tusker House
Check your app for meet and greet locations and times.
Donald is also at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot. Line up before his starting time.
Goofy is at CommuniCore Hall in Epcot.
Pluto is at Pluto’s Corner in the Animation Courtyard in HS.
Also a pretty perfect way to meet them!!!
You won’t be able to get a photo or autograph at Communicore Hall. It’s a loud dance party basically.
Isn’t there still a dedicated meet and greet area there that has 4 characters? There’s the large main Hall on one end and the dedicated meet and greet area on the other end?
It’s possible. I was in there twice in June mainly to cool off and it just looked like him dancing around but there could well be a designated time for a meet and greet.
Not in the large hall where there is seating and festival happenings. It’s next door to it. This is the picture I found online.
Ah yes. That is a separate venue.
Thanks everyone for all the great info! I truly appreciate it. ![]()
The least stressful way- Chef Mickey. My Disney kids are now Disney adults and one of them was always got a D.A.S. I never understood wasting valuable park time in line and in the sun. Chef Mickey’s is cool and you have more time to enjoy than a meet and greet in the park. Plus you have to eat anyway. Our tradition was to have breakfast at Chef Mickey before heading to the airport.
Agree with Chef Mickeys! I don’t know why it gets so much hate.
We enjoyed Chef Mickey’s, but the wait to get a table was long (like 30 minutes after our reservation time), the food was mediocre, and the environment was a bit on the loud side. Compared to other character meals, it was not our favorite. That said, it has great characters and the character interactions were good. I would certainly go again IF those specific characters were important.
This is a generous statement on the food. When we go to Chef Mickey’s, it’s purely for the characters. I’ve been know to grab a bite to go from Contempo afterward because I dislike the Chef Mickey’s food so much.
Oh no! That sounds way worse than our experience.
This episode of Ear Scouts may also be helpful to you! It came out yesterday. It’s one of my favorite podcasts - they do a great job!
