The Special offers extending to Fall are out. I noticed that out here as someone else was quicker to see it. I was looking for Pop Century which I have booked for Sept. 15th to the 29th room only, because I am a passholder. As stated, I was not that quick on the draw so I missed out. Even still I made the POP reservation quite some time back and I am glad I did as there are none left for my dates. Will have to keep checking just in case a new special comes up 
For those of you that made it in time and got a special, can you tell me the first date the specials came out. Reserving POP, rack rate, room only (passholder), I still came out better than the next higher on the Skyliner system (Caribbean Beach resort) by about $800.

Thanks Nicky-S. It was probably the post I saw. Still too late to get in on the offer even though I already had the room booked. They used to modify the rate if the new offer was cheaper but not anymore. Only so many of these offers on various resorts. Once they ae gone they are gone even though you have a room already.

I thought they used to only modify the rate in this situation if there were still rooms available at the discount price. And the number of rooms at each resort at the discount price were often limited in the past too.
Some people are reporting they were able to get a reduction on their already booked stay.
But that will only happen if there is availability. These offers are not unlimited, and not all room types will be included.

It’s possible there weren’t any for your dates at your resort.
It’s also possible - maybe even likely - that you’ll find some availability with the discount in a few days. Agents can place rooms on a complimentary 3-day hold for guests, and once those holds expire without deposit being made, the reservations will go back out to inventory and will be yours for the taking

I never knew Disney to automatically modify the rates.
If that was a thing, that was a long long time ago.
For as long as I’ve been booking, it’s been a manual process - whether as a member of the public or as a TA.
I didn’t mean that it was automatic. I meant that if there were rooms in your category available at a discount, you could switch to the lower rate. Which I think is the same as the current situation. The other poster was saying that in the past, if a discount was offered, you could switch to the lower rate even if there were not any more rooms available un your category at the discounted rate … and I don’t think that was true in the past or now.

Thanks, I will keep checking. Other special offers of similar type may be available in the future. As I reserve a room way early as many TA’s suggest, I used to be able to modify it if a special was offered.

I can tell you that this was true in the past as I did it in 2024 and before. Last year I could no longer modify to the special offer but had to make a new reservation under the special offer and cancel previous reservation.
Yes! I went back out to special offers today and lo and behold there were now rooms at Pop for my date under the 30% off late summer, early fall special where there were none yesterday. I was also able to modify my present reservation and get the discount. In my case $787 discount. I will still check for the AP discount in the days to come. Yesterday I felt lucky I had made the rack rate reservation because in checking there was no more rooms for my dates. Today the were a number of categories for rooms available.
