Special Cakes

A few years ago I know I was able to call in and have a special cake made and delivered to Chef Mickey’s for my son’s birthday. I can’t for the life of me remember where/who I called. Anyone know?

Thanks!

You can add it to your reservation when you book it. I got one for Jules last August for DCP kickoff

Those are the Mickey ear ones, right? I had a custom one done last time.

I think I had to call the bakery at one of the resorts.

Oh. Yes

My kids want things like lemon blueberry or salted caramel. Mama’s baking has them spoiled!!

Outside of the pre-made Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake, the Grand Floridian and the Yacht & Beach Club are now the only two resorts that still offer custom cakes at Walt Disney World.

  1. Unless you are staying or dining at the Yacht & Beach Club, contact Grand Floridian Private Dining at 407-824-2474 at least one week ahead to see if they are currently delivering to the resort or park where you want the cake delivered. For Yacht & Beach Club, call 407-934-3431.

  2. Grand Floridian custom cakes cost a minimum of $100, while Yacht & Beach Club cakes must be 10 inches or larger.

  3. There are no standard design options for custom cakes at the Grand Floridian and Yacht & Beach Club—every cake is a custom cake, so feel free to submit images that show the pastry team what you want.

  4. If you are having the Grand Floridian deliver a cake anyplace but the Grand Floridian, you will need to pay when you place the order. For all other orders, you won’t be charged until the cake is delivered to the restaurant or resort.

My daughter was a big fan of the custom cakes, when we went to WDW for birthdays, when she was younger. We tried to get one a few years ago and bumped into the same issue. I have it book marked now!!

As though taking these kids to the parks for their birthdays isn’t enough

Love seeing my kiddos smile though!

Yeah… my DD22 graduated college this year and is out on her own. She’s, finally, starting to realize how much things truly cost!!  :shark: :shark:

You could pre-order a whole cake from Gideon’s. Sadly they don’t do anything custom, and you may have to pick it up from East Side as opposed to Disney Springs (but I’m not 100% on that)

If you have food allergies or sensitivities, Erin McKenna’s Baker in Disney Springs delivers all over Disney World. A few years ago we had a birthday cake delivered to Grand Floridian Café. One of my kids has several food allergies and this bakery is absolutely wonderful for us. Even if you don’t have allergies their items are fantastic. We go to Disney Springs at least once a trip just for this location for my kid. But the delivery option was great for the occasion.

I bet that would be Devine!! Yum!!!

Sadly, you can’t do anything custom with them… :sob: :sob:

But you could just get on the the GIANT cakes they sell… they look so good!!

Or a Giant Cookie Cake!!!

Gideon’s is definitely the way I’d go, even without the customization. As long as they’d be willing to allow pick up from DS. East Side Market is a long way away

Looks like DS location is not an option.
