Why has Space Mountain LL been selling out days in advance? I know there is a rumored refurb (which i believe is credible) but it still doesnt make any sense

It is a tier 1 choice. Makes sense to me it would sell out if not before 3 days out, then 3 days out for sure.

There are reports that it has not been open consistently during early morning hours. They may have reduced LLs due to operational issues.
Editing to add that there were also questions if one side is down .

Dont think thats it…….Its been available almost real time (meaning 7pm available LL’s at 6:45pm) for over a year and is the least booked LL for and Tier 1……..

At the days I’ve been to MK since LLMP started, SM LLs have always been available same day and lasted at least until mid-afternoon.

Just looked at thrilldata.com. SM LL shows as sold out for today as of 7:15 am, but availability starting at 10:15 am tomorrow and starting at 8:35 am Friday. SM LLs were gone today much earlier than I’d expect, but I don’t see the “selling out days in advance”. Also, thrill data shows the average sell out time for SM LLs over the past 30 days was 7:19 pm.
Where did you see that it has been selling out days in advance?

The post on chat was there was no LLs available for yesterday and today. I looked when I saw the post and it was correct.

There was also frustration from another poster that tried to rope drop space three mornings and space was closed. It seems to be having issues.

Theres def something going on with it………The wait is 50% higher than Tron which makes no sense…..But tomorrow availability seems to be normal………Something strange happening there…Maybe they had an unannounced scheduled track maintenance on one of the tracks?

We tried to ride Space during early entry in April and it was down. Ended up pulling a LL for around 1pm and rode it then but our wait even with LL was 35-40 mins.

We had LLMP for MK on Wednesday and Space Mtn was the one LL that I never saw available the whole day despite lots of refreshing on BG1. We didn’t buy LL far enough ahead to prebook SM but I wasn’t worried figuring I’d pick it up later. We ended up riding during EEH however. Also today 8/7 Space Mtn was down the whole day for regular guests. We rode Peoplemover around 4:45 pm and the lights were on in there. I saw it was up later during the party tonight. Not sure if they were installing party features or if it was down for another reason.

Probably this. Thursday, SM was running only one track, and the standby wait got to 175 minutes. Friday, it was down most of the day like you said, and when it did open by 6pm, they were again using just one track to start with. I saw mention that it was down again in the evening, but was running at 11 pm with both tracks. Seems to me like a technical problem.
