$99 for dinner and $79 for lunch.
After speaking to DH, I think we will skip. I agree that the atmosphere looks boring. We also are not looking to do prix fixe with 2 13 year olds. We are avoiding all of the rest of them.

I would probably not do it if I was with my family, but I will splurge on a solo trip. (Because I can write it off at tax time as an expense.) But it would be lunch.

I do not like the stainless steel tables at that price. Please put a table cloth on that. Just because we are in space doesn’t mean we have to eat on metal.
ETA I have to remind myself that menus and pricing have not been announced yet. But, they did use words like gourmet and fine dining.

The first book was amazing. I have enjoyed both follow-ups - but I do enjoy that genre!
Actually, with a cost to low earth orbit of $2700 per kilogram, you don’t even get a table. Or plates. Or silverware. And that glass of water you get with dinner would run about $500.

Zero stars would not recommend. Food was dry, ate from a bag and cost was exorbitant. View was out of this world though.

I was really hoping they would have a pre-park-open breakfast option, even if it was more than a regular meal. Maybe something similar to Early Morning Magic in Fantastyland. I’d happily pay $100-$150/pp to get into the park early and knock out TT, Soarin, and MS all prior to official park open, plus get to see Space 220. I don’t even think they’d need to add FEA or Remy’s to the early ride list for me to feel like it’s worth it.

Since epcot isn’t opening until 11 AM most days this was never going to happen.
Originally the plan was to have breakfast at Space 220, but I doubt we’ll see that until hours get back to normal, which I don’t expect until more of the construction is done.

Ah, yes. I keep forgetting (read: blocking it out of my mind) all the construction at Epcot. I guess the 11a open is really more about giving crews a good solid block of working time sans guests more than it is about covid or staffing. That makes sense.

That and the fact that right now many guests do not feel it is a full day park so keeping payroll down.

Starting on 10/1 park opening is at 10:00am.
The WDW calendar lists Food & Wine opening at 11:00am. I am wondering if this is a precursor to moving back to the 9:00am opening for Future World.

This is so true. I made one of my “virtual” TPs for WDW. On the Epcot day, all I had to do was enter every attraction and every pavilion. Operating from 11am - 10pm, I was able to fit in everything Epcot has to offer that I care about…(I’ve seen Reflections of China, Impressions de France & etc… plenty of times)
I don’t think even Remy makes this a full day. I could’ve cut a few smaller attractions if I needed too in order to accommodate it.
There too much entertainment missing along with the construction to make this a “full” day park. However, I do enjoy that it is open later than the rest of WDW

and yet I spent 4 days here plus a dinner on DHS day and could have come back still. All in how you look at it I guess. Why it’s my favorite park is I don’t spend much time on “rides”. But yes I do very much miss all the live entertainment. I’m ready for it to come back.

I’m a big fan of WS, but for the characters, entertainment and shows. I get bored just walking around WS snacking after about 30 - 40 minutes!! 
Despite the “big hole in the ground” there, at the moment there is only one ATTRACTION missing at Epcot.
We have trouble getting things done at Epcot in 2 days, let alone 1. Once the street performers return, it will be all the more difficult!

I have a similar experience with AK. I could spend all day there many days in a row and never tire of it or become bored.

I think it might also, for me, be psychological. You do get 10 - 11 hours in Epcot, but it starts later. I guess I miss the earlier RD.
In hindsight… It is a full day park. It’s just missing a lot of what I like most these days due to staffing issues.
