As my appetite has reduced since my last trip to Disney where I get fuller faster, how flexible are Disney restaurants in regards to that and potentially ordering a kids meal that I know I would finish versus an adult where I know I definitely would not. I don’t have food, allergies or am on a restricted diet, it’s just my meal portions have become smaller. I just don’t want to waste food.
Appetizers or child menu
On our 50th anniversary trip, DH and I always ordered either kid portions or appetizer.
No CM problems with that kind of ordering.
The only time you wouldn’t be allowed is at a buffet or pre fixe meal. I like to order kids meals some places, but I find they don’t always have the option I want in kid size. Sharing works great in those instances
I usually order off the kids menu or share an entree with my kid. The only place this doesn’t work is at a place with a pre-fixe menu or a fireworks/fantasmic meal (or a buffet of course). I also sometimes just get an appetizer.
One time, at Skippers Canteen they did not let is order off the kid’s menu. But that really seems to be the exception.
I think some TS will tell you no can do but many allow it. If they don’t you can always order appetizers, sides or accompaniments instead of an entree. I have a short list of places to get small bites. This isn’t inclusive of ALL the places- just the ones that fit for us.
