My 60 day booking window opened up today, and I was surprised to see that Skipper Canteen is closed unavailable on 12/30/25 and 12/31/25. Does anyone know why? I couldn’t find any info for special events that are closing the restaurant.

That doesn’t indicate being closed, but that no reservations are available. So possibly all reservations are gone. Those are some of the busiest days, after all.

I’d see a possibility that Disney is holding back the reservations for some reason, but I’d be surprised if the restaurant is fully booked for two days. It is unavailable for all party sizes those two days, but is readily available for throughout the rest of the holiday week. Here’s Skipper Canteen side by side with Beak and Barrel for comparison

That’s fair. But I just meant that the key of the calendar you were showing didn’t mark it as closed, only that there were no reservations available. Could be booked…but in light of B&B…you may be right, that it is a case of Disney is holding back on reservations for whatever reason.

My bad on not sharing the detailed at first, especially since the only way to see the unavailability is if you have an active reservation for 60+6 at least.
Reservations are available like normal now for both days! Interesting morning fluke. I thought maybe there was a New Years Eve event or something taking over the space
