Long time disney person, slowly branching into universal, google tells me that if I book a signature hotel for a saturday night in June I will get express passes for Saturday and Sunday. Can I book a value hotel for friday night without messing this up? There are 6 of us so it makes financial sense to do it this way but I wanted to double check or we can stay offsite but I thought this might be best. and we are florida residents so can I book the room with that discount even though my brother and sister arent residents.

Yes you can book a value resort for Friday night, go to a signature resort early on Saturday (to check in and get your room key for express) and have express on Saturday and Sunday.
Does it allow you to book two rooms?

For our trip in January, I held a reservation at the value while also picking up one day at a signature. They overlapped. No issue.

Yes, you can definitely book using the FL resident rate. I doubt there are any rules that state everyone in the room needs to be a resident. I have actually booked several times with the resident rate because my kids both have FL college ID’s (which Universal accepts as proof of residency), however, they have never even asked for proof at check in.
