Yeah, OTUPs have to be bought by calling. And MS can book for you and borrow points.
When I said I don’t trust MS to do this, I meant in terms of them telling me how to do it. At the very least I would want to have a script of “ I want to book X. That needs more 2026 points borrowed but they’re all tied up in Y. Can I borrow more from 2027 for Y and free up some points to borrow for X?”
If there’s any hesitation I’d ask for a supervisor.

Yes! I’ve been too busy until today to deal with the hold times (all told my call took 50 minutes) but they were able to do everything during the call. I purchased Membership Magic before I called so they shuffled the points for the July reservation, freeing up the exact number of UY26 points I needed, purchased my OTUP, and made my reservation for April.
