Just wondering why September 1 is rated a 5 at Disneyland? Is there a special event going on?

That’s a good question. They make their predictions based on historical data from previous years, but last year on that Tuesday the crowds were low. Crowds should be higher in DL than in DCA because people without Park Hoppers usually go to the non- event park so they can get in a full day, but there was an OBB last year, too. Isitpacked.com predicts it will be a ghost town that day.
I do see that the temps will be a little lower than they’ve been lately, which has kept crowds away, so I would expect the locals to possibly visit then. That would not be what Touring Plans was going on, however, since they make their predictions long before the date.
Also, there will certainly be high crowds in DL after 3 p.m. as people hop from DCA. Again, however, TP isn’t really factoring in those crowds since they only keep track until 4 p.m.. It’s always more crowded in the evening than the crowd prediction suggests, because of the local passholders coming in after work and school, and after it cools down.
