Pretty good day yesterday other than the one hour of downtime around noon! Ended the day at BG 112, even with an 8pm close. Oddly the Backup BG threshold was only 42, so the majority (63%) of BGs called were actually Backup BGs! Today Backup threshold is 72.
We’ve been torturing ourselves all week looking at the BG numbers! Glad for everyone that it’s been going so smoothly but wishing we’d been on a better day! Don’t you have a visit coming up in February? I am now thinking maybe my daughter (that is in college in Redlands) and I will try to go Monday, February 24, and try again. But my high school age daughter will probably not be able to go with us.
I had been toying with the idea of going in February but right now my next scheduled trip is April 11th. There’s a slim chance I’ll go in March, but looking doubtful. As hard as it is to wait, I’m glad there is time for most of the kinks to work out before I go!
We are sitting in the room right before Rey right now, BG 25, and the ride is down “for a minimum of 30 minutes.” We’ve been told that if we leave, they won’t do anything for us- no fastpasses, no later boarding group- because our tickets have already been scanned. So we stay and maybe ride, or we lose out. This is complicated by the fact that the men in our party rode first, then came out to watch the baby while we rode, so it’s me, my SIL, and my 6yo daughter.
Hang in there! Most shut-downs last about an hour but can be quicker. Rarely much longer than that.
D’oh! I jinxed it. It’s been over 1.5 hours now. I hope it started up before then and they just haven’t started calling BGs again …
I love living vicariously through this thread. The highs, the lows, the laughter, the tears. I need some popcorn. 
I’ve been looking at these numbers too, and each time I think about what a raw deal you got. I demand restitution for you! 
Well the good news is that they finally seem to have gotten it back online as of a little after 2pm.
We bailed after 90min, because my SIL had to attend to her baby, who was in Fantasyland. A nice manager helped us out, though, and we’ll try again later.
Sorry you had to wait so long! And glad you talked to a cast member. Especially when there are babies involved, they are pretty accommodating (and deservedly so!).
Still waiting to return. It’s been stuck at 70 for a while.
We made it at last at around 7:45pm. Very crowded inside, with a long wait in the First Order section, but at least we got through!

Not the best day at DL for RotR yesterday. Lots of downtime and topping out at BG 96. Could have been worse - at least all regular groups got to ride and many backup groups. But most people who rode probably had to endure long waits during the downtime (such as @Lobolita).
@dborgill has confirmed that you can NOT obtain a BG from DCA if you have not scanned into DL that day:
I have seen reports that you can scan into DL and then transfer to DCA and still get a BG there, however.
BG 12 today, rode with the first group. We feel like we’ve cracked the code. Enable seconds on the clock in the notification bar of your phone, sync with time.gov (or figure out how far off your phone is and count), and press MyStatus>Join Boarding Group at X:00:01. Refreshing from the screen after My Status has NOT worked for us yet.

Yesterday was not the best day for RotR. While they called up to BG 110, which is a little more than average, there was a fair amount of downtime, especially in the morning and afternoon.

BG 22 today, so we were 4/4, rode it every day, and now we’re off the plane and back home near Seattle. All in all, a fantastic trip, and we never would have had so much success without these boards. Thanks, guys!
Awesome! Any tips after going through the BG process four times? What do you wish would have been explained more clearly / wish you would have known?
