Is it a bad idea to rope drop RNRC and TOT using early entry on a crowd level 8 day such as May, 25? When I put this in a touring plan and evaluate, it gives a wait time of 40 minutes at 8:33am for RNRC and 30 minutes for TOT. I wasn’t planning on using LLMP on either of these two rides, but now I’m reconsidering.
No, not a bad idea at all. TP assumes you’ll be middle of the pack when estimating wait times at the beginning of the day so sometimes that won’t give a clear picture of the morning if you’ll be more front of the pack.
My family typically skips ToT so I can’t speak to that attraction but we have RD’d RnRC once and it was very low stress and we walked on three times in a row.
If HS is early opening at 8:30 and you can be at the tap styles by 8 am at the latest you can probably get Tower of Terror and RnRC done in 30 minutes with minimal wait. You might even have an elevator to yourself.
Most folks don’t turn right.
One difficulty is that RnRC isn’t always open when we’ve been walking down Sunset mere minutes after the tap styles have begun operating.
What @DeepInTheHeartofTexas says about middle of the pack assumption on the part of TP - there are work arounds which I’m not recalling here.
If I think I’ll be front of the pack for RD instead of putting the attraction first I’ll add in a snack cart or QS near that ride and put a filler time in for it and then add in the notes what it’s really for.
Thanks. That is what I thought. We’ve had success doing this in the past, it’s just been a few years.
Thanks for the work around idea. I’ll give it a try.
It’s only a bad idea if you don’t choose to stop at Hollywood Scoops after you ride both to get a mimosa and mickey waffles. Otherwise, it’s a great idea!
Always good to check.
