As of this moment (I am still working on the “virtue” of being decisive) our dates look like this:
- October 24th arrival - 28th - we will stay near SeaWorld/Discovery Cove
- 28th is transition day. Will rent a car for that day only to visit the ocean. My grandparents lived on the mid-East coast of Florida during most of my childhood, so will be visiting some old favorites if I can find them
- October 28th - depart on the 31st - stay near WDW - one day at Epcot, one day at AK

I am looking for a unicorn. I know its Halloween time and will probably book up well, so the discounts won’t mean much.
Up to $300 a night for the right property, but prefer under $250.
I did a search for the current 25% off and the Disney+ up to 35% off sale. There is nothing. I will graze the DVC sites later.

I hate the wording for some of the listings… Is Pop Century 1 Queen and the possibility (if requested) for 1 King??? Or is it a choice of 1 King or 2 Queens?
It looks like one or the other… but says it sleeps 4. How would one King sleep 4???
I will ask Disney next week. Stay tuned???

Pop room have either:
A) one King bed
or
B) one Queen bed and one Queen pulldown bed (Murphy bed) that has a table on the underside when in the “up” position.
The rooms sleep “up to four” - means if it’s a King, it sleeps 2 but the 2 Queens sleeps 4.

Yes this. Note that most rooms have two queens so you’ll only get a King if you request it specifically. If you have occupancy greater than 2 they won’t give it to you.

From what I can tell there is one room that matches your needs. That is the Port Orleans Riverside with a 5th sleeper under the Disney Plus deal. With tax it is $899 and you will get three good surfaces.

Another option is to be at Disney during the weekday part of.your trip as the rooms go premium on the weekends. I don’t know if that is an option.
But for the 24th through the 27th you get:
- Art of Animation family suite: $320 or $360 with tax (D+ deal)
- Port Orleans 5th sleeper: $260 or $288 with tax (25% deal)
- Carribean Beac Resort 5th sleeper; $267 or $300 with tax.
I found a site that siad the port Orlean 5th sleeper was 66×33 and that the CBR was 63×33. But CBR has updated rooms look fantastic and maybe those are a bit longer.

The 5th sleepers at POR are listed as 66 x 33 inches and the CBR are listed as 63 x 33. These are smaller than the sleepers in studios?

I’ve heard that too.
The pull-downs in DVC rooms seem to be bigger and the studios that have them are advertised as sleeping 5 adults. I have several adult friends who sleep on them quite happily, whilst the ones at POR and CBR are advertised as child pull-down beds.

I was wondering what size the new Mermaid tooms were and if they are bigger tham the older ones.
This says they hold a child that weighs 90-100 pounds

To be clear, though, one should not expect a LM room. They aren’t bookable and only in part of the resort.

We’ve personally stayed in one of these rooms. The fold down twin bed is out of the way and ok size.

I wondered what the reat of the CBR refurb would be like since the 5th sleeper is a bookable catagory. But itnlooks like the sleepers won’t be getting bigger, so not an option in this case.

Yep, I was also kind of surprised that they didn’t just do the whole resort in one theme. It looks like they will have LM rooms and then the rest are getting small refurbs (hard floors - and I’m sure others)
That’s too bad. At least of they are going to upchargr people, they made the rooms really nice.

I didn’t think about the weekend vs. weekday prices even though I know better. Thank you for that reminder. I need to consider restructuring things.
