Tickets separate are non refundable and must be paid in full at time of purchase.
Tickets purchased as part of a package can be had with only $200 deposit on the package and the whole package is refundable until final payment due 30 days in advance of travel.
Since you are locked into going with your DVC stay, I would buy the tickets through a discounted seller such as Undercover Ticket or purchase convention tickets. Although you have to pay in full, you can save a lot of money.
Thanks for the tip. I’ve never purchased tickets that way. Looks like it will save $200 (8-10%).
@OBNurseNH The website seems like it will let me make that purchase. The main reason I asked about the vacation package was if doing it that way was like to result in a better chance of one of those 25-30% discounts being announced and able to be added on a room only vs vacation package stay.
The pay in full be $200 deposit is a nice benefit too.
There is nearly always a room only offer when there is a package offer. The package sometimes has particular requirements for inclusion. But you should be able to get a discount either way if a discount is offered.
When we did a split stay and booked as a package, I believe the website only let me select tickets that are up to 1 day longer than the number of nights you have (so a max 4 day ticket for a 3 night stay). That’s all we needed so I don’t know if booking by phone they would have let me buy longer ticket with package.
You can select a ticket length 2-10 days when booking a package or a room only reservation. It doesn’t matter how many nights you are staying on that reservation.
Yes. I vaguely remember you could only select one more day than night. But that may have been when you could add on no expiration. That timeline is all a bit fuzzy.
