Why request a rm months b4 arrival if the request only goes to WDW up to 30 days b4 your arrival?
Huh? You can have your request prepared on the dashboard as far in advance as you like but it won’t get sent out until 30 days before arrival. You can also wait and put in request on your dashboard the night before it goes out.

The request goes to a WDW email address 30 days before the stay at the request of Disney I believe? The timeline changed when it went from fax to email.
I like to look at rooms early and identify my request but I keep looking and sometimes change my request before it is sent.

Does it cause any problems for Touring Plans if you cancel your trip after your room request has been sent?

I don’t think so? The room assigners will not finalize your room assignment. I know some liners have changed their resorts i after the first email was sent and Len said to just do a new request.
