I was practicing this morning but was maybe a few seconds late and was not able to get an active button to join a group at all. However I did learn something useful. I can’t figure out how to “refresh” in the app except on the “boarding status” page. At first I was just going back and forth between the Find out More page and the My Status page, but I don’t think it was refreshing and “join boarding group” never activated. Is there a way to do this, or is it best to stay on the boarding status page and keep pulling down to refresh?
Hitting the back button from the ‘join a boarding group’ page and hitting ‘find out more’ again will refresh. However if you get the timing right, which is why people have been practising, there should be no need to refresh and it will get into an earlier BG. Every second refreshing is a drop down the number board. I went for my 1st time on Sat and then again on Tues before I left and I got BGs 2 and 3 respectively.

By 7:30 on an 8am opening day the car-park entrance can get a bit congested so aim to be there around 7.

I was in there a few days ago and the “Join Boarding Group” wouldn’t light up after 8 and I tried refreshing by going back to the My Status button. It didn’t work. Was in the process of restarting the app when my wife got a BG on her (crummy, cheap, old) phone without any issues.
David, since you were so very lucky to get BGs 2 and 3, I’m curious as to what your timing was. As others have stated, while practicing right at 8:00 am, I have found that often the "“Join Boarding Group” button is not orange and when I click on “My Status” the next page “Join a Boarding Group” is not lit up. So, I have to go back and forth to refresh, which I know is taking time and I always end up with a BBG! I also got all the way through yesterday, as others did and was in BBG 96 - bummer! Of course, I quickly removed us as we weren’t in the park! Wonder what happens today!?
Yay! Today I closed all background apps, restarted my phone 10 minutes ahead and launched the app 5 seconds before park open. The orange button was active to join a group! I was afraid to go any further for fear of taking someone’s group who was actually there. But at least the opportunity was there.

Is there a way to check that everyone is being registered in the app as in the park before 8:00?
I just answered my own question. You check if the day ticket has been used right?

Why not just make it where if you have an active ticket and a fastpass for Hs that day your can book a bg.
Oh Bob, you used an assignment operator ‘=’ instead of the equality operator ‘==’ and mistakenly changed everyone’s name to “Aunt Polly”.
Blimey, thats not many. BBGs went really quickly as well considering it was back just being people in the parks that could book them.
Anyone reckon due to yesterdays cock up they must have given out a lot of fastpasses for today to guests who were in the park and missed out?
That’s an interesting thought. And if true, it seems to be just kicking the can down the road. Let’s say there were 1,000 people who couldn’t ride yesterday because of the glitch, complained, and got a pass to ride today. That just means that are 1,000 people that were hoping to ride today that don’t get to.
Perhaps the lesson here is don’t go to DHS the day after a big snafu?

I saw on Reddit where someone with BBG91 yesterday was given a FastPass for today.
First time poster, long time reader. I tried to practice this morning, and for this error message. I’ve never see it before. Typically when you try to proceed with your party, it gives you the OOPS screen.
Thoughts?
A few people started getting this message last week or so. I think the app is starting to alert people as soon as BGs are full, regardless of where they are in the process, instead of waiting till after you apply.
Thanks. I’ve only practiced 2-3 times in the last few weeks, just in case it does affect the people in the park. Trip is next week, and the low board per hour for the last few days is worrisome.
I have been on overload with research for my upcoming solo trip and on another forum people stated that they too when practicing from home yesterday were able to go all the way through and receive a BG. Most canceled right away and some did not. Those that did not received a FP for today AND a one day HS only ticket that can be used in the next 2 years. DW gave these out to everyone, not just regular BG for yesterday but all BBG to everyone, one person reported having BG 115 whether they were in the park or not.
This has to be the reason why so few BG were given out today. They are anticipating lots of FPs being used and could not differentiate between those that were actually tapped into HS yesterday so I believe they are just covering their a!#es
