I think officially it’s one ride per day. In the 1st week or so guests were multiple riding but it was stopped to give more people a chance to ride.
I’m glad they made that change. Obviously Disney is ok with people riding multiple times as long as it’s on different days since MDE allows it, but my family personally decided to only ride one day to give others a chance. I feel bad for Star Wars fans that may only visit WDW once and not have the opportunity.
Not judging anyone else’s decision, but we had the opportunity to ride our second day and intentionally chose not to. Just something people might want to consider.
You are right, I need to keep things in perspective! Even if we don’t get ROTR, none of us have done MFSR, FoP/Na’vi, SDD. So much to do and see… been too long!
Your glass is always 99% full at WDW!
I agree with one per day seems to be the fairest way all can have a chance to ride. Just curious since bbg were available till 945 this morning.
I think a one-day look-back would be nice. For example, if your BBG wasn’t called on Monday, you’re prioritized for a BG on Tuesday (ahead of folks whose BG or BBG were called on Monday).
It will work the same way as FPP - I think it doesn’t let you add a FP for a guest under 3, so you may have to de-select. I could be wrong, as I haven’t tried this myself.
I would assume very high ones. I haven’t followed as closely lately, but for example today Randall got 83 around 8:00am (which is low enough to get called most days). So by 9:00am it might be in the mid-100s or even high 100s? I wouldn’t risk arriving much after 8am, and obviously arriving before 7am is preferred to get an initial BG.
So if you have a phone mishap or transportation fails you and your late to arrive or whatever and you get into the app later than u plan. There is still a chance u can ride. Thanks for the info. The smartest plan for sure is to be prepared and be In the park early for sure
Nobody can answer this question with certainty because closing of BB and BBG are different everyday. Then, there is the uncertainty of if and how long the ride breaks down each day.
If you truly want to ride, get scanned by 7 AM. Although I have read here that guests have been able to add other party members to their BG/BGG later.
I think most (maybe all?) the ones I’ve seen with adding party members later are due to system errors. Such as when boarding groups opened, someone that was physically in the park with the rest of their party wasn’t showing as tapped in, so the advice is to grab a BG for everyone showing as eligible and then go straighten it out with guest services.
Just mentioning so people aren’t thinking only one person needs to go get a BG for their party as a regular thing.
Thank you for the clarification.
I think the ones I’ve read said they were able to add 1-2 people to a larger group. But the best thing to do is for everyone to be scanned in by 7 AM.
BG16! I think I’m my families favourite person
WooHoo! can you come and press my buttons for me in few weeks time?!

Called at 8:08 am. 2 hour return window this time. We RD SDD, then used FP+ at TSMM. Now in line to ride…and it just announced that it’s been delayed. At least we are at a spot where you can sit.
Today Backup Boarding Groups start at 71, and Backup Boarding Groups were all Distributed at 7:23. The ride did not open until 7:41. Does this all add up to a poor day for Rise?
I might have missed it elsewhere but do we know about what the size is of a “Boarding Group”?
It is interesting that they keep lowering the number of BGs before they switch to BBGs.
Noone , know we think it may even very by the day
That’s been conjectured, but I’m not convinced. I don’t really see any evidence they are changing BG sizes. And, it would add some technical complexity to things if they did. It is easier if they just tweak the number of BGs for a day, etc.
I’m not saying it isn’t a possibility, but I’d be extremely surprised if that were the case.
