Rides with seatbelts

Greetings,

My wife is stil recovering from cancer treatments, including surgury where lymph nodes under her arm was removed. we were at Hollywood Studios yesterday and realized this is causing issues with rides with seatbelts, since she has trouble putting them on and raising her are arms after.

Now that we know this, our strategy going forward is for me to sit on the side where she needs to buckle and assist her. Now does anyone know which rides at WDW require seatbelts, so we know in advance. I will start with the ones I know:

  • Star Tours
  • Rise of the Resistance
  • Soarin

Do folks know what other rides require seatbelts (the lap bars do not count).
Thanks

Dinosaur is the only other ride I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Is everyone else going through their heads to remember where you hear ‘pull on the yellow strap!’

Dino, Kali, TT (or is that a bar), Soarin, maybe MIssion Space and Astro Orbiter but I skip those, ToT, STs, Falcon, I think Speedway

Lol. Yes!! :joy:

Across the whole party then. I was trying to picture it and I know DH and I were sliding around squishing each other, lol.

What about MFSR? I only rode it once, a few years ago, but I remember it being individual seats. With I’m guessing a seatbelt?

Yep, Test Track has seatbelts.

Test track is closed, MFSR would require her to be on the side so the buckle would be to the center. The rest, I just need to sit on the buckle side to be able to help.

Thanks for the list everyone.

I have knee / balance issues. We have to figure out which way vehicles load so my husband can be first in / first out to give me a hand. I’m a little apprehensive on an upcoming solo trip getting in and out by myself.

I completely get this. There are rides I will not do when solo. Things like Frozen, Tiana’s, Space, Jungle Cruise. Anything that requires a ‘step up’ to get out of. For things like Living with the Land, I always ask for a row that has the bar for the canopy. It’s also why when I try the Every Ride Challenge, I need to do Astro Orbiter first thing in the morning - otherwise, the leg strength will not be there to get out later in the day.

You can let a CM know that you may need help in and out. They are usually quite helpful.
