Ride share to Epic

We’re taking a ride share to Epic Universe from the Wilderness Lodge. The gates for day guests open at 10:00. What time should we schedule our ride to get through security and rope drop?

I would probably still plan to be there between 9:15 and 9:30. You are allowed into the park, just not the portals. So you can line up for Berk and be some of the first inside.

(As someone eligible for EE I think this is very flawed, but you might as well take advantage of it!)

So off site can still line up for rides while EE guests are riding rides? That seems odd. Definitely flawed.

I am not sure how it works in the portals that are open for early entry. I am pretty sure we had to show the card to get into Nintendo. So off site guests would be at a disadvantage for Mine Cart Madness that opens at 10. But all of Berk doesn’t open until 10 (why I don’t know). So off site guests were lined up outside that portal in theory as soon as they let people in the park. I seriously contemplated lining up at Berk starting at 9 but from the few videos I saw it’s not a lot of people that line up ahead.

This was about 9:50 which was a little bit later than I would have liked. There were lines like this on either side of the portal.

In my opinion, they shouldn’t let off site guests into this line ahead of on site guests.

At the other parks all guests can come in, but only those with EPA can go past a particular area.

From what I’ve seen & heard it’s similar at Epic. You can come into the park, but can’t go into SNW or BatM or other portals.

I don’t know if there’s a “holding” area at Epic because of the portals. I believe you can enter the park, but only shop & eat while waiting near other portals.
