Resort Advice: Father + Son Trip!

There was a recent post about bus schedules being available (and accurate) in Google Maps. I believe in the article, it said skyliner in info was also available

I have a rotating category 5% cc rewards. When gas stations come around, I try to stock up from them. Using the station loyalty card, every $50 in gift card gets 10Ā¢ / gal off.

I’m not saving directly, but overall it works better for me. So keep an eye out for similar deals

5% off when you purchase with a Red Card. This is the only reason I keep my Red Card after the shabby treatment they gave me during COVID.

In the past Meijer has offered 10% off during a limited time sale, usually in the Fall.

Oh yeah, I posted that.:rofl:

We only experienced a weathe-related shutdown once, and it was a problem, because we walked all the way to the front of the park and waited for a bus, but one never came…And the. We saw that the Skyliner was running again, so we had to walk all the way back to the IG. Terribly annoying.

However, when it was closed most was on about half of the mornings, we would have a message on our room phone (light was on on the phone indicating the message) informing us that the Skyliner would have a delayed opening so we should go to the buses instead.

This wasn’t working for us when we were there in September. Google maps didn’t seem to know about Disney transportation options. I only checked as an experiment. I didn’t really need it.

Did you book thru Disney directly? It’s usually cheaper through Priceline, and probably Booking or Expedia as well.

I saved about $44 on my two night stay booking Priceline vs WDW site.
(I may have a different discount level based on the frequency I use it, too.)

I used this in the pass for the boats.

@antirobo1 Different stores have discounted cards. Target was my go to but I have found 4% - 8% off with Sam’s. Just do the math because different denominations have different discounts. Many cards have a 3% cash back on travel deal. So check your cards too.

Also look at undercover tourist for the tickets. I’ve been buying from them for close to 20 years and even used them to book my cruise. Every cent helps.

Any benefit to booking from Disney directly? I didn’t know the resorts were on those sites. I’ll go take a look.

And yes, the tickets are cheaper on those 3rd party sites. Really wish they would bring back the 3 park - 3 day offer for February because that would be perfect

Convenience and easier refunds. But usually it’s not bad through third party sites.

I cancel almost as many trips as I book. Just make sure you are booking REFUNDABLE. I also don’t pay til I go for almost every reservation. Occasionally I will pay when I reserve, but even those cancellations usually show up on statement in 1 day.

Yeah I have booked Priceline and they are pretty easy with refunds. Some other sites are not as good. I agree the most important thing is to check the terms and conditions. :+1:

Update!! I decided ā€œscrew it, I’m going to upgrade to Popā€. So Skyliner here we come!! Super exited  though I’m holding this a secret from the pops, he is still under the impression we are at AS Movies :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

How exciting!! I think you’ll love it there. The Skyliner is so nice for getting to HS and Epcot, but also if you want to explore the Boardwalk area too.
