How are they compared to the rest of the car companies there? I’ve heard nothing but horror stories with Sixt.
Good to know. I don’t have a lot of data points about Sixt in my brain. I’ve seen good reviews but it’s always good to get something direct like this.
Thanks for sharing!
I found Sixt by accident one trip, they had the best price - and upgraded me to a BMW SUV.
Tried a couple of off-airport rental companies over the years - and just about every one was a horror story. Never again.
BTW - there is now a gas station on the MCO property just south of the Termnals - and last time I was there the prices were quite reasonable. Avoid the gas stations just north of the Airport, some have jacked-up prices.
Remember when you got a deal on an electric car @OBNurseNH ??
Holy cow! That explains why at 42 days out there has been zero movement on pricing ![]()
I’m still sitting on the “so-so” rate I got (which is phenomenal by comparison, but expensive by personal threshold)
I am trying to not book at MCO so I think that is why this is so expensive. I imagine they don’t have the EV chargers at all locations. But that is insane! I was trying to rent an EV for “science” for you. Which company do you have the deal through?
Is that for a week? Wowsers. I would probably prefer a hybrid, and run it on electricity only if that’s a possibility in terms of trip logistics. (Range might be the issue there, though.)
I am pretty sure it’s dollar.
Not even a week! It’s 8/22-27.
We drive EVs so I think it would be fine for us and I was actually interested to document the ease/difficulty of doing it on a WDW trip. But not for $2000!
I have also 5 days booked - 9/17-22
The difference in pricing is stunning
Yeah I have a $187 for 5nts at dollar
Eek on that parking fee
We don’t really need a car. Only thing I was trying to do was avoid stopping at AKL on our way from Cabana Bay to Typhoon Lagoon. Oh well.
We used Sixt last year when we went to St. Martin. Had no issues.
The rates for late October are still higher than I want to pay. They go down slowly, but I paid way less for my last trip
Rates usually come down about 30 days out. At least that has happened in the past for me. I’ll be checking in about a month.
Yeah I have gotten my best rate drops at about 7-10 days before i arrive.
Stalk stalk stalkity stalk
So you’re saying there’s a chance!
It would be cheaper for me to rent a wheelchair accessible van for a week than that!!!
The electric prices are outrageous! They better include a driver and a portable battery. The gas guzzlers are in the $200 for 5 days range.
