I’m trying to catch up with the park reservations changes… If my tickets are booked as part of a package, do I need to make park reservations or not? I’m thinking no, but want to make sure.

What package did you get? What time of the year are you going, and does the MDE app list the days you are going as park days? (Three lines → future plans)
As long as your tickets have a clear start date, then no, you do not need park reservations. But things like Annual Passes and convention tickets still need those silly reservations.
